Will the Time Come #728, May 15th

Every Thursday I am going to list a book which I really want to read/keep meaning to get to. These are mostly books which have been on my shelf for awhile now but don't have to be, maybe you got it two weeks ago and really want to read it! Thanks to Jodie from Books for Company for this meme!

I don't know, I love her writing and I enjoyed book 1, so there's nothing stopping me from picking this up, and I may or may not have gotten an ARC copy of it, but I want to read it, so hopefully I pick it up son! What about you guys? Happy reading!

OK, so I got 63 posts in 7 days, and it was another busy week, I read a lot, a lot of great books, and I'm looking forward to this coming week! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read The Floating World and Silver and Lead!

Week 17 Review: The Seaside Library

Week 50 Review: Tying the Knot

My Review:
Oh, this was such a delightful read! I love Brenda Novak's writing, and the Whiskey Creek series, but we haven't visited it in a while, and I'm glad that we did-because one Amos brother still had to find love, and I'm glad that he did!

This whole set up with a reality dating/marriage show? Yeah, it sounded like it could be really messy, and oh, it was! That he got on it because he thought the producer was interested in him-which she was, but that she needed another person for the show more, well, I guess she lost out, because Grady and Aja ended up together! 

Aja chose to go on the show because she wanted to find someone who she could feel passionate love for, in a method that maneuvered around her parents expectations. That she and Grady get paired is definitely a complication that she wasn't expecting.  

Grady and Aja don't seem to fit, they live in different towns, in jobs and families that keep them in those towns, and it would take someone making a change for their marriage to actually work out. When you add in the cameras, well, yeah, I really enjoyed their dynamics! And how they worked things out? So good! 

This was a really wonderful read and I can't wait to read more by Brenda Novak!

Week 32 Review: Talulah's Back in Town

Brant has always been a loyal friend, but Talulah's decision to run isn't the only thing he hasn't forgotten. He remembers more about Talulah than he cares to admit. Vividly. And it's increasingly difficult to ignore her now, especially when they find themselves in close quarters. Talulah has no plans to stay in town after she fixes up her aunt's Victorian farmhouse, even if the unbridled sparks with Brant give her a good reason to linger. Besides, bailing on relationships is kind of her thing. But a lot has changed since Talulah last turned tail—maybe her heart has changed, too?

My Review:
I really enjoy Brenda Novak's writing. I think I've fallen behind because I do like mysteries more than I like contemporaries, but I do still enjoy them. I really enjoyed getting to know this next cast of characters and town, and watching these two fall in love!

This is the start of Coyote Canyon, and I was excited to get to know these characters, get to know this town, that has at least 3 books set here, and we'll see what the future holds. It was just the idea of your small home town homecoming.

Talulah doesn't know how to understand what her heart wants, she's had 2 failed engagements, and that's understandable. Love does seem to be hard to understand, hard to known, but it did make her life more difficult, in having temporarily left an agreement for a romance-and meeting Brant and having that connection. 

I really enjoyed their story, she did run away from marrying his friend, so there was that complicated, but oh, they were so good together, and I loved watching them come to terms with it, and deciding that they actually wanted that! 

This was a really great read and I can't wait to continue the series!
