OK, so I got 35 posts in 7 days, and I finished all of my July TBR, and most of my non-ARC's of my August TBR. Dobby had his surgery and is mostly healing well. He had the cancer lump removed, and also one on his back, which has swelled a few times, so that's been a bit concerning. But he's acting like normal, which is great. And he'll be able to get the stitches out next week. What about you guys? Happy reading!

My first review of Perdition, Havoc, Breakout
My Review:
I loved reading these books again! I loved them the first time, but I hadn't read the first series in this world, that had Jael before this point, so I had to come back to this one and read it with that context. Of course I loved reading them again!
Perdition was a fantastic setting up point of this prison ship, of how it worked, the different groups and the politics, setting up these characters and their dynamics with everyone. Then Havoc built upon those foundations while also breaking things down. Then Breakout deals with what's left, of them finally getting off that ship.
I loved how with every book, the stakes rose, so did the characters to the challenges. They had to be creative, and it difficult, learning to roll with the punches, and learn as much as they could to understand what was going on. It was just so wonderful!
That ending had an even greater impact this time around, knowing what he held in his past. I mean, this trilogy had another part of it, so it was great to have all that tied off. It was just so satisfying to have that extra time with them, after they'd made it out!
Loved these books so much, and I can't wait to read more by Ann Aguirre!

I've finally finished out this series! I think I've been reading it for 2 years, and it was finished well before I started it so I don't know why it took me this long, but I've done it! Now I can finally reread the Dred Chronicles! Happy dance!

My Review:
I've finally finished out this series! I think I've been reading it for 2 years, and it was finished well before I started it so I don't know why it took me this long, but I've done it! Now I can finally reread the Dred Chronicles! Happy dance!
I honestly felt so badly for Jax, after all that she's been through, yeah, being put on trial for what she did, which does have a negative impact, is much less of one then if she hadn't. That she and Marsh are seperated for a good portion of this book, just makes it even worse.
From the beginning, I've really been along for the ride, but I have been wondering where this series has been going, because every book has been big and important in its own way, from big, sweeping world changes, to big important moments for the characters. So that was in the back of my mind as I was finishing up reading this series!
I'm glad that Endgame dealt with Jax's promise to Loras to free his people, the way that they've been enslaved is despicable. Everything and the way that it worked out was just so well done, and I'm content with where things ended, sad to say goodbye, but happy for the time that we had.
These were so fantastic to read, and I can't wait to continue on with this world again with the Dred Chronicles!

OK, so I got 27 posts in 7 days, I read a decent amount of books, in series, which led to just 5 review posts which was kinda nice and I'm happy with that. Dobby's vet appointment went pretty well, he's scheduled for another cancer surgery for next Monday, but the vet said that it was localized and aggressive, so it's not spreading, but that's why it keeps coming back and he's had 3 surgeries in the past 3 years, which will soon become 4 surgeries in the past 4 years. But he's in otherwise pretty good health for his 15 year old man self! What about you guys? Happy reading!
