My Review:
I love this series so much, and I always enjoy diving into another story. Viola is someone we know, if not very well. But I'm pretty sure that we've seen little to nothing of Brochan before this book, so it was really great to get to know him as well! 

I loved getting Viola's story! She's been around for around half of the series to this point, though never the focus until now. She was such a fantastic character, dealing with hosting the demon of Narcissism, which caused her to have waves of self love and insecurity. I just loved her story of overcoming her demon!

Brochan is in a difficult position. From the prologue we see him see Viola-and know that she's his mate. And she goes for his brother, takes his immortality, which prompts Brochan to become a Forsaken, not a Fallen Angel, he still has his wings, but yeah, his emotions for Viola are very mixed!

I loved how they worked out their issues, between their previous actions, and her demon and Fluffy, oh, and the key that she has that's supposed to get the Forsaken into Nevaeh..it all came together really well, watching them work out their problems while giving into their on fire attraction was just so fantastic to read! 

This was another great book in this series, and I can't wait for the next!

My Review:
This was a fantastic sequel! I hadn't read the first book before yesterday, which is also when I read this one, because it kinda slipped my mind, even though I'd made this review post. So I read both of these back to back, and they were both just so easy to devour!

This book picks up not too long after Cats, and it's quickly decided that they need more gear to face Warhammer. So it's very different from the first book, where she's on her own turf. We get to travel, and meet new characters, which was really great, loved watching the band grow!

I loved to hate the sex slavers plot line. But watching how she dealt with it was fantastic, I loved watching these bad guys being taken down! It was a great time to learn how the whole group works together, which they're going to need to go after Warhammer! 

Things are set up for the 3rd book, and I don't know if a) it'll wrap everything up and be the end of the series b) wrap all things up but set up some new things, and the series continues, or c) wrap up some times and the series continues. But I can't wait to find out, see how she's going to deal with Warhammer!

This was another great read in this series, and I can't wait for book 3!

My Review:

I think it's a given at this point, that for October, we'll get a novella in this series, because I mean, a special group of FBI agents (and those that become their significant others) see ghosts, that just works perfectly with the spooky season! And I enjoyed this latest story! 

I enjoyed being with Kylie and Jon. Kylie was the first of the 2020 full length books that featured unique abilities, in Kylie's case, being able to experience the murder as if she was the one being killed Which yeah, is not pleasant, but it's a pretty useful crime solving skill! And I loved how this book played with that ability! 

Of course this book takes place in Salem, it's where Kylie and Jon met, and it has a rich history, and it, along with New Orleans take the top well known spots for supernatural goings on. And this case involves a house, and a historical murder...

The list of suspects, in the end, was really quite short, but figuring out which one of them was behind it-and their reason-had me guessing until the end! An oh, did the killer surprise me! I loved how that all played out! 

I had a great time reading this book, and I can't wait for the next installment!

My Review:
Of course I loved reading this book! I love this series and world so much, and it was fantastic to spend this time with Jane, and boy does she have a lot on her plate! Being the Dark Queen and all, and now that she's healed of the cancer, it's time for her to focus on the threats brewing!

The way things started off was pretty fantastic. We got a moment of concern, and then a moment to get our bearings in this world again, and then we were fairly thick in the action, and it was just wonderful to read! Jane is just bad ass, and Beast is amazing, and I just love them! 

I felt so badly for Bruiser, he's been through a lot through this series, between Leo and Jane, and dealing with what he wants and what his place in the world is. And a big question on my mind was about Leo, because some interesting developments happened, about what plots he left, and how that might affect Jane, and the world, to Bruiser. 

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. There's some really high moments, but there's some really hard ones as well, and there's adrenalin. And that ending was just so captivating! I'm so excited to see how those developments play out!  

I loved reading this book so much, and I can't wait for the next book in this series, and the next book in the Soulwood series!

My Review:
Yeah, I really enjoyed this book! The whole concept of a town that has a gap in reality, it's just so fascinating. And I really enjoyed going on this journey of Claire's, she was a really great character! It was just a really great book to read! 

This was a little bit of a horror book. After all, there are monsters or something, and they can mess with your mind, and erase themselves from your mind the further you get from the town. So that's pretty scary. And Claire doesn't want to get trapped in this town, so that's a problem.

I love the fact that this book is set in the 90's. I felt immersed in the culture, like the video tape reference in the synopsis. It felt natural, and this is only the 2nd book that I've read like this, so I really enjoyed that! 

Finally, the romance was just so adorable! And I loved the rep, because there can never be enough well done rep until it's not rep, it's a normal part of society, you know? I just loved Claire and Julie, they were a great couple to read about! 

This was a really great, original book, and I really enjoyed reading it!

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book. I did like being in Grier's head more than Valora, because Grier wasn't cruel, and the misunderstanding from Valora's side wasn't interpreted correctly. I get that Valora has a lot on her plate, but that doesn't mean that I prefer to read that.

This world, with monsters and people with gifts-including one guy, saying that there's going to be a Chosen One to take down the big bad, Erys. In comes Valora, who has known she was the Chosen One basically since birth. So that's a lot of pressure on her shoulders.

I did for a while, think that Grier's interpretation of the prophecy was right. And the one line gave me pause, because who that bad guy would be from that line was pretty clear. But I didn't quite expect what happened there!

And man, that ending! It was amazing, I loved watching these sisters reconnect, to kick ass and to discover this big reveal. It was so entertaining to read, and I really enjoyed how those bits of story came together here in the end!

I really enjoyed this book, it was such a great read!

My Review:
I enjoyed this book! It kinda reminded me of Lynsay Sands books, both her vampire series and her highlander one, where it's a romance, and there's a mystery of someone trying to kill one of the leads. Just a lot of fun to read!

I will say, that there was something about either the narration, writing or some combination of both that wasn't quite my style. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't totally my cup of hot chocolate. I can't pinpoint it, but it was like a splinter, and I just wanted to figure out why.

Katherine and Scott were really cute together. They both had reasons why they didn't want to get into a relationship, and still their chemistry and how well they got along with each other, kept tugging them together. It was so enjoyable to read!

I enjoyed how things all came together, it could've very easily gone in a more negative direction, if one or two things had been changed. So glad that it all worked out and we got a happy ending! And I'm wondering where the series will go with Jack and Amy mentioned in the synopsis of the next book...

This was a sweet, cute read, and I enjoyed it a lot!

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! I loved the mystery, and Jamie and watching her go on this journey, investigating what happened that night, inter-spaced with some different POV's, and scenes from that night, yeah, it was so great to read!

Jamie is a complicated character. She's had trauma that she's really only really starting to realize the full extent of it right now, with her memories partially coming back and all. Given that her brother hasn't been seen since that night, well, it's an pretty important mystery in her life-and in her mother's.

There was a lot going on, as well. It's a mystery, there's so many threads, and some of them were unexpectedly connected. Every detail, even throwaway ones, could be important-or they could be red herrings. Oh, what I love about mystery books!

The ending was pretty intense and satisfying! There were answers, and it all worked out for the good guys. And gave them all a chance to heal all the hurts that came about on this whole journey, and that was just so great to read!

I enjoyed this book so much, it was a fantastic read!

My Review:
This book was pretty fantastic! I loved going on this journey into space, there was such a creative world, I really enjoyed exploring what we did in this book, but there's plenty more for the future books. And there's a few mysteries, like Atana's past! Oh, and there's military action throughout, which is so fantastic!

In a way, this book was sci fi with elements of fantasy. Because yeah, it's space, there's aliens, but there was a element that was woven in that was more paranormal, more fantasy, then sci fi, and the different strands became pretty important!

We learn so much in this book! Obviously, it's the first book and so we know nothing in the beginning. They are fighting this enemy that is so eerie, and there's a lot that they find out in this book, and I can't wait to see where it goes from that!

I did have a problem with the narration, there were bits were it was jarring or was a little unclear. So sometimes I would be pulled out of the book, so it was a little harder to read this book than it would be for others.

Really enjoyed this book, and there's so much potential for the sequel's to explore!
