OK, so I got 18 posts in 7 days, it was a pretty great week, a good number of excellent books were read! Can't wait for next week! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read Golden in Death, Sea Witch, Sea Witch Rising, and Starbreaker.

Week 5 Review: This Vicious Cure

My Review:
This book was a fantastic read! It's such a great ending to the story, it explains so much, as to why the world is like it is, there's a few secrets that came to life, and it was just so freaking great to read! This series has just been this fantastic thriller sci fi ride and I just loved it!

One thing that I really enjoyed about this book is that we had a dual perspective of Cat and Jun Bei. It was really great to be inside Jun Bei's head, but still have time in Cat's, alternating between the two of them ratcheted up the tension, and I knew it was getting close to the end when they finally got together!

Jun Bei is a hard character to deal with. On the one hand, she's shy, she wants to save the world. On the other, she had a scarring childhood, and used that rage to make herself cruel, and she does some pretty horrible things in the name of good. But she does grow, and I really enjoyed her going on this journey!

One thing that became pretty important in this book is vectors. I enjoyed learning about them, and they're pretty important because they're how genetech gets the code into people's DNA. And yeah, there's a big secret there, that had pretty big ramifications!

Loved this book so much, and I can't wait to see what Emily Suvada writes next!

Week 14 Review: This Cruel Design

My Review:
Oh, man, this book was so fantastic to read! I did take a few times to really get into it, it is a fairly hefty book, but just like This Mortal Coil, once I was into it, yeah, the pages just flew right on by! I just loved reading it!

After the big reveal in the first book about Cat and Jun Bei, I just wanted to know more about how that was going to affect Cat in this book. And yeah, it's not easy, and it turns out there's more then what we know. So much happened there!

We also go to explore more of this world, and we met Anna, who is Cole's biological sister, so she was pretty interesting to met! We also went to Entropia, which was pretty interesting, and the idea of redefining what being human means, yeah, that's pretty interesting!

And that ending, oh! So much was going on, so many reveals, from her parentage, to the whole two personalities in one brain. And what the lines of code were for. Which just makes me so eager for the final book in the series!

This book was fantastic, and I can't wait for This Vicious Cure!

Week 48 Review: These Precious Scars

My Review:
I really enjoyed reading this story! I wish that I'd read This Cruel Design with it, but yeah, I ran out of time this week. Opps. But I'll read it soon, and I did enjoy this book! I really enjoyed reading about the kids when they were kids, and before everything happened!

So one thing that I really enjoyed, was that for each chapter, we had a different kid narrate. So we get to be in all of their heads, and that was really great, given that we haven't met of of them in This Mortal Coil!

We were only told about how Lachlan was as the lead scientist in charge of the experiment that is the kids, but that isn't seeing it. It was pretty cruel, they weren't treated like humans, really, let alone like children. They had a very unchildlike chiildhood!

This story has 2 big events in it. It has the start of Cole and Leo becoming the soldiers that we met in the first book. It also has Jun Bei betraying Leo by telling Lachlan about how he has get Leo feeling different emotions to get different results. Bad Jun Bei!

Loved this story and I need to read This Cruel Design, I'm so excited for it!

OK, so I got 21 posts in 7 days, I read a decent amount, and I saw Infinity War yesterday! But otherwise I slept on Sunday, knocked out by a migraine that's still getting me today. Much more sleep needed! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read Beast, Black Star Renegades, A Court of Night and Frost, Devil Bones, and Endless Water, Starless Sky.

Week 17 Review: This Mortal Coil

My Review:
I enjoyed reading this book so much! It was so unique, with the plague and how it worked, and gene-hacking, and how the world is because of all of these things. It was so different and unique and I really enjoyed reading about it!

The idea of a plague that spreads by exploding its victims, yeah, not cool. But even worse, is that to get immunity to it, you have to eat the flesh of someone who is infected, but who isn't at the exploding phase yet...yeah. It's a pretty harsh world.

I really enjoyed Cat, she's had a hard time, since her dad and his assistant, her crush, are taken away by Carataxus. Who her dad said were really bad. I really enjoyed watching her go on this journey, to release the cure that her dad created. There were a lot of ups and downs, and some terrifying moments that were just so great to read!

Twist after twist happened. Like, when they actually released the cure, but a) she didn't die in the process, and b) there was more code then expected. And then that ending, wow! Everything came together, and it was just mind-blowing! Loved it!

The ending was also evil, and I really can't wait for the next book! I need to read it, because this one was so freaking good!
