Week 37 Review: Dark Destiny

My Review:
This was such a fantastic book! Bringing everything from the first 2 books, and having it different, because this time, the threat comes from 1804! With Napoleon! Which was really interesting! And then it wasn't over!

So having Rebecca brought back to the past, that was really interesting! And then her using her gifts on Napoleon, and how that worked out, that was just the best! This is just such a great time travelling magic series!

Romance was once again threatened, mostly by Society, which is again for Tory and Allarde, which we learned about in the first book. And then Jack worries about Cynthia giving up her position, and that she'd regret it. Finally, Rebecca and Nick have some troubles!

The almost ending? With the ladies with the cloaks there, that was just awesome! And how they used the power of illusion-not magic, but tricks the eyes play on us-to cause the bad guys to go back, that was just awesome!

I really want a 4th book, to have some more happy endings, to find out how it plays out with Elspeth feeling she needs to be at the school, to have society come back to accept magic in the peers, to explain the look that was about Tory in Dark Mirror! It's been bugging me! Oh, and just to spend more time in this world!

This was a really fantastic book, and yeah, I'd really love a 4th bok!

Week 14 Review: Dark Passage

Then the Irregulars are drawn into a dangerous attempt to rescue a vitally important French scientist from Nazi-occupied France. My Review:
Such a great book! I enjoyed it so much! We got to be in this world some more, learn more about it, and spend more time with these characters, and it instilled in me a want for the 3rd and probably final book, Dark Destiny!

So again, the main conflict is during World War Two, and yeah, it's dangerous, but really interesting to read! And that they save that family, that was really great! And from the synopsis of Dark Destiny, that's going to play out more!

There's romance and conflict in both relationships, Tory and Allarde, with his connection to his land, but being banned from getting the land if he keeps going the direction he's going. That's not fun! Then Cynthia and Jack, that was a great, weird, and interesting relationship!                                                                                                                                                                    
Ah, I enjoyed this book so much, it was really quite book, and I can't for the next book!

Week 18 Review: Dark Mirror

My Review:
Dark Mirror was an excellent book! I loved the cover, since it related to the story a lot. And since I want to say something that might be a spoiler, I don't know, it's connected to her "despised skill" and "a strange and wonderful journey," so that will be at the bottom, so you can skip it if you want to.
Anyways, I loved how the character's moods where like, and the atmosphere that the nobles made, that made magic undesirable. It's a real obstacle to overcome, and I'm glad to say that Tory did. Otherwise the story would've been much, much different.

I loved the characters and their relationships, and how they developed, and the little things that I want to know (there's going to be a second book, Dark Passage) and I really enjoyed this book, so if you haven't read it, read it!

Things I'd Like to Say That Might Contain *SPOILERS,  READ AT OWN RISK!!!!*
I love the time travelling, and the differences that this causes, and the trouble, and how it develops everything, it was awesome, and there's the mystery of who Tory is going to be, I have a suspicion that she's going to end up Queen of England, but I'm not sure. Maybe, maybe not. It was only mentioned in passing, but that might just mean that it's going to be brought out later. I really hope it is, it's really bugging me! (In a good way, of course!) Yep :)

Such a great book, I enjoyed it so much, and now I just want to read more books!

I am currently rereading CoFA, because it's due at the library while I'm away in NY, and since I know it's a popular book, it's probably going to have to be returned, and I wanted to read it again. It's a great book, and for those that haven't read it yet, they should!

I just finished reading Dark Mirror, and I loved it! It was a great historical paranormal romance book! Can't wait for the sequel!

I am going to read Ketura and Lord Death next, since it's short, and I need to finish as many books as I can before I go to NY, so that I can buy a lot there with (hopefully) birthday money, and not feel guilty. Yep.
