The latest installment in the BODY MOVERS series! Carlotta Wren's life is entering new territory--a new career path, a new direction in her love life, and possibly new family members to uncover. A big part of moving on, though, means leaving people and other pieces of her past behind... which might be harder than she realized. Especially when moving forward means walking through a minefield of mysterious discoveries about the people she loves, the the people she wants not to love.

Why the time hasn't come yet...
It's been a while since I read the latest book. But I only have 2 books plus the prequel left to read, and I want to read them! What about you guys? Happy reading!

From Goodreads:
It will be the happiest day of her life...

Carlotta Wren has been looking forward to her wedding day since she was a little girl, and she wants it to be perfect. But even as she plans a blowout wedding, she has other worries on her mind.

In the process of trying to prove her former coworker was murdered, she may have stumbled onto a coverup with national implications--not to mention learning she's blood related to someone with whom she has, um, unpleasant history.

If she lives long enough to say I DO!

And while she's pledged her hand to one man, another man is dogging her heels, and her heart. She has the perfect dress, the perfect ring... and the perfect man? If only she could see into the future...

As Carlotta closes in on a murderer, she realizes she's in the crosshairs of some powerful people who want her dead--if planning the wedding doesn't kill her first!

Why the time hasn't come yet...
I don't know why, it's been a while since I've read a lot of this series, but the series is almost done, so I hope to read it soon! What about you guys? Happy reading!

OK, so I got 21 posts in 7 days, I read some really fantastic books, and felt pretty productive this week, and I can't wait for this coming week, lots of fantastic books! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read Buried in My PastHonor Among Thieves, Honor Bound, Honor Lost, Queen of Air and Darkness, and Shatter the Earth!

She's desperate to stop the panic attacks. But the truth won't set her free...

Jamie Kendal sees life through the bottom of a bottle. After surviving assault and betrayal, she is forced back to her hometown to care for her mother. Not long after her return, she's plagued by terrifying slivers of memories from the night her twin brother disappeared forever...

Unearthing new evidence, she's shocked to learn she'd been found wandering in the woods that same night-- covered in blood. More than one person from her past hid a haunting truth that's bubbling to the surface. The deeper she digs into the horrors from her past, the more she fears anyone could be a killer, including Jamie herself.

Can Jamie expose what happened that night, or will she join her missing brother?
Space renegade Zara Cole may have finally met her match. Lifekiller—a creature that can devour entire planets—is spreading terror throughout the universe, and it seems nothing can stand in the monstrous godking's way.

Reeling from a series of battles, Zara and her wounded band of allies are going to need a strategy before they face Lifekiller again. Zara's street smarts may not be enough when their enemy could be anywhere, destroying civilizations and picking his teeth with the bones.

And just when it feels like she's reached a special place in her bond with Bea and Nadim, an ex from Earth with an ax to grind comes after her with nefarious intentions. With human enemies, alien creatures, and mechanical stalkers on her tail, it's down to the wire for Zara to save the galaxy—and the people she calls home—before the godking consumes them all.
Dark secrets and forbidden love threaten the very survival of the Shadowhunters in Cassandra Clare's Queen of Air and Darkness, the final novel in the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling The Dark Artifices trilogy. Queen of Air and Darkness is a Shadowhunters novel.

What if damnation is the price of true love?

Innocent blood has been spilled on the steps of the Council Hall, the sacred stronghold of the Shadowhunters. Their society now teeters on the brink of civil war. One fragment of the Blackthorn family flees to Los Angeles, seeking to discover the source of the disease that is destroying the race of warlocks. Meanwhile, Julian and Emma take desperate measures to put their forbidden love aside and undertake a perilous mission to Faerie to retrieve the Black Volume of the Dead. What they find there is a secret that may tear the Shadow World asunder and open a dark path into a future they could never have imagined. Caught in a race against time, Emma and Julian must save the world of the Shadowhunters before a deadly curse destroys them and everyone they love.
Ironically for the time traveling, chief seer of the supernatural world, time has never been on Cassie Palmer's side. There has always seemed to be too much to learn, too much to master, and never enough hours in a day. But the tables have now turned, and the fluctuating timelines of earth and faerie are diverging, slowing time in faerie relative to earth, and giving humans an advantage for the first time in their war with the fey. It is one they desperately need, for a literal war of the worlds is about to take place.

To win, or even to survive, Cassie and her allies, the powerful vampire senator Mircea Basarab and the formidable war mage John Pritkin, will have to pull off their greatest feat yet. And find a way to become more than the sum of their parts.

Week 6 Review: 10 Bodies Lying

From Goodreads:
The newest book in the BODY MOVERS humorous romantic mystery series!

Liar liar, pants on fire...

Carlotta Wren is dazed and confused--everything she thought she knew about her life has been a lie. How can she ever trust anyone again? And where does she go from here?

She hopes a business trip out of town will help to clear her head... instead it lands her in the middle of a murder, as the prime suspect! While Carlotta works frantically to prove her innocence, she's also forced to confront the lies she's been telling herself. If she manages to get out of this mess, she'll have to get real about the kind of life she wants, and the person she wants to spend it with.

My Review:
Loved reading this book! I kinda forgot the ending of the previous book, but it reminded me very quickly, because Carlotta is dealing with that shock. There's a bunch of things, from her roulette of romance, because she has time with Coop, Jack, and Peter. Fun times!

Technically the mystery in this book is of the death that Carlotta is embroiled in while on a business trip, of her assistant, Patricia. But there's the emotional stuff with the big reveal of the previous book, of her love life, and all the stress of starting up the bridal section. Poor Carlotta!

One big part of this book is Carlotta contemplating about lies. About how people are always lying. And some self-reflection, are they lying to her because it's her? And realizing about how much she lies, as well as everybody else. She does a bit of growing up in this book!

OK, so this book leaves us on quite a note. After all, the mystery of what happened to Patricia, it's officially closed, but Carlotta has set things in motion to learn more. Same with finding out about her biological father. Oh, and there's still the mystery of what's happening with Meg to worry about!

Loved this book, and I can't wait for the next! It's just so great to read these books!

Week 30 Review: 9 Bodies Rolling

From Goodreads:
Round and round we go...

Carlotta Wren is still reeling over her parents' return after a ten-year absence. After putting her life on hold for so long, she's not sure how to move forward. Her new reality isn't exactly what she thought it would be, especially considering the altered circumstances of the three men in her life.

Until we all fall down...

But her best gal pal Hannah is always there to cheer her up, and Hannah has taken up a quirky new sport--roller derby! The matches are a colorful spectacle of bodies maneuvering to score, but the fun stops cold when a dead body rolls onto the scene. Carlotta believes the accident is anything but--especially when skaters' bodies begin to pile up--in and out of the ring! Could Hannah be next?

My Review:
Man, I loved reading this book! This series has always been a lot of fun to read, so yeah, I was really excited to read this one, especially with how everything was kinda wrapped up in the previous book, I couldn't want to see  where things would go from there!

There was a lot going on in this book, from their mom's medical appointments, to her relationship with Priscilla. Plus there was her dad acting strangely, which turned out to be a huge surprise! There was a lot jam packed into this book which was so great!

I'm kinda worried about Wes. With his father back, well, yeah, his dad has some particular ideas about things, and it's not good for Wes, because they're contrary to who he is, and that sends him down a dark direction. I hope he pulls through!

There was mostly a happy ending, the murderer was caught, though that wasn't a really big part of the book. Liz turned out not to be pregnant, but Carlotta knew that Jack wasn't right for her, but then Cooper left, so yeah, that wasn't good. But that ending opening the Christmas presents that they've waited so long to open as a family, yeah, that was an ending! And an evil cliffhanger one at that!

This book was so fantastic, and I enjoyed reading it so much! I need the next book!

"'And this phone a dual aperture camera,' the sales guy said. Carlotta Wren squinted, thinking the smart phone he held looked pretty much like the other six sitting on the counter. In hindsight, she should've brought along her tech-nerd brother Wesley to help her choose. 'Um… what’s a dual aperture?'" -9 Bodies Rollingby Stephanie Bond

Oh, this is pretty hilarious! I don't know much about cameras, but yeah, it's a hilarious opening! What about you guys? Happy reading!

OK, so I got 22 posts in 7 days, so a pretty decent week! I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait for next week! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read The Lunatic Cafe, Bloody Bones, The Killing Dance, Night Lost, and Evermore.
Vampire hunter and zombie animator Anita Blake is an expert at sniffing out the bad from the good. But in The Lunatic Cafe she's about to learn that nothing is ever as it seems, especially in matters of the not-so-human heart.

Dating a werewolf with self-esteem issues is stressing Anita out. Especially when something-or someone-starts taking out the city's shapeshifters.
In Laurell K. Hamilton's "New York Times" bestselling novels, Anita Blake, vampire hunter and animator, takes a bite out of crime-of the supernatural kind. But even someone who deals with death on a daily basis can be unnerved by its power...

When Branson, Missouri, is hit with a death wave-four unsolved murders-it doesn't take an expert to realize that all is not well. But luckily for the locals, Anita is an expert-in just the kinds of preternatural goings-on that have everyone spooked. And she's got an "in" with just the kind of creature who can make sense of the slayings: a sexy master vampire known as Jean Claude.
Dating both a vampire and a werewolf isn't easy. But just to complicate Anita's already messy life, someone has put a price on her head. Love cannot save her this time, so she turns to Edward, hitman extraordinaire, for help. But finding the person behind the threat won't be easy, because as both a vampire hunter and zombie reanimator, Anita has made a lot of enemies-both human and otherwise.
Abandoned by his fellow Darkyn, Gabriel Seran is in continual torment as a prisoner of the religious zealots known as the Brethren. His only hope for rescue lies in Nicola Jefferson, a thief seeking a holy relic-and connected to Gabriel in more ways than she can possibly imagine...
The NEW YORK TIMES AND USA Today bestselling Darkyn series continues...

Jayr is proud to be the only female ever permitted to serve as seneschal to a Darkyn lord. But in her centuries of service to Master Byrne, she has fallen in love with him. Now, Byrne plans to step down and hand over the Jardin to another Kyn lord-a move that threatens not only Jayr's position, but her very life...

Week 26 Review: 8 Bodies is Enough

From Goodreads:
When you gamble with the truth...

Carlotta Wren is off on another adventure--this time following a lead from her jailbird father to Las Vegas to find out what happened to her long-lost mother. Unaware of Carlotta's mission, her brother Wesley tags along with grandiose designs of winning big with a secret bag of cash he found. But as soon as the Wren siblings hit Sin City, their luck runs cold. A dead man spoils Carlotta's plan and before she knows it, the entire gang from Atlanta has descended to aid, abet, and aggravate. Wes has problems of his own when it turns out the found money belongs to seriously bad men who want it back.

You might lose more than you can afford...

With the odds stacked against them, Carlotta and Wes keep rolling the dice. Too late, Wes learns he's accidentally blown his father's case wide open. Someone wants the Wrens--all of them--to cash in their chips for good. And when Carlotta uncovers the real reason behind her parents' disappearance, it yanks her life in a new direction.

My Review:
Oh, man, this book was absolutely amazing! And I think it's just about wraps up the current story ARC, if I remember something I read about this series is correct. Either way, it gave a great cliffhanger with Cooper's name being on the bathroom wall!

The thing about these books, is that they're absolutely hilarious, and have so many situations that aren't fun to be in, but so great to read about! And Carlotta just seems to have a second sense of finding them and accidently putting herself right in the midst of them! Which is just freaking hilarious!

We had some major updates regarding her parent's crimes, and what they've been doing since they ran. Yeah, a sister is very unexpected. It was sad to learn of her mom's condition, but her sister was very interesting, and I think will fit in just fine!

Wes gets into trouble, again, but he has the best of intentions. And one or two situations get cleared away, which was great! Oh, and their dad got cleared, and bought back their old house! So life is going to be much better for them! Yeah!

Such a great book, and just utterly enjoyable!

The hardheaded Armstrong brothers are determined to rebuild their tornado-ravaged hometown in the Georgia mountains. They've got the means, they've got the manpower…what they need are women! So they place an ad in a northern newspaper and wait for the ladies to answer their call…

Porter, the youngest Armstrong, is all for importing women. Still, he's so blown away by the sheer numbers, he falls off the water tower. Luckily there's a doctor among the newcomers—sweet and sexy Dr. Nikki Salinger.

And Porter has every intention of checking out her bedside manner….

Why the time hasn't come yet...

So this week I want to read The Abyss Surrounds Us, Defy, The Friends We Keep, The Girlfriend Request, Scarlet, Lady Thief, Lion Heart, The Moth in the Mirror, Unhinged, The Mystery of Hollow Things, Never, Never, The Predicteds, The Prophecy of Shadows, Queen, Rogue, See How They Run, Seeker, The Truth, and Truthwitch.
For Cassandra Leung, bossing around sea monsters is just the family business. She’s been a Reckoner trainer-in-training ever since she could walk, raising the genetically-engineered beasts to defend ships as they cross the pirate-infested NeoPacific. But when the pirate queen Santa Elena swoops in on Cas’s first solo mission and snatches her from the bloodstained decks, Cas’s dream of being a full-time trainer seems dead in the water.

There’s no time to mourn. Waiting for her on the pirate ship is an unhatched Reckoner pup. Santa Elena wants to take back the seas with a monster of her own, and she needs a proper trainer to do it. She orders Cas to raise the pup, make sure he imprints on her ship, and, when the time comes, teach him to fight for the pirates. If Cas fails, her blood will be the next to paint the sea.

An original ebook-only novella in the Splintered series, told from the points of view of both Jeb and Morpheus. Morpheus wants to know more about his rival for Alyssa's affections, so he digs into Jeb's memories of his time in Wonderland. But he may be surprised by what he finds.

This brand-new story and perspective from A.G. Howard's dark, magical world stands alone, but also provides a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come in Unhinged, the sequel to Splintered.
Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.

That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.

As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.

If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.
All Imogene Scott knows of her mother is the bedtime story her father told her as a child. It's the story of how her parents met: he, a forensic pathologist, she, a mysterious woman who came to identify a body. A woman who left Imogene and her father when she was a baby, a woman who was always possessed by a powerful loneliness, a woman who many referred to as troubled waters.

When Imogene is seventeen, her father, now a famous author of medical mysteries, strikes out in the middle of the night and doesn't come back. Neither Imogene's stepmother nor the police know where he could've gone, but Imogene is convinced he's looking for her mother. She decides to put to use the skills she's gleaned from a lifetime of her father's books to track down a woman she's never known, in order to find him and, perhaps, the answer to the question she's carried with her for her entire life.

Rebecca Podos' debut is a powerful, affecting story of the pieces of ourselves that remain mysteries even to us - the desperate search through empty spaces for something to hold on to.
