OK, so I got 71 posts in 7 days, and it was a pretty great week, if a bit hectic, I'm really trying to finish my various TBR's, but it's a lot of books, espcailly since I added another readathon, but I really only added 1 or two books. But I can't wait for this coming week! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read The Highlander's Return!

Graeme Gunn is a warrior through and through. Content for his brother William to hold the title of clan chief, he left home years ago, battling his way through Scotland as a mercenary. Week 38 Review: The Dead Cat Tail Assassins

My Review:
This was such a fantastic read! But oh, was it a wild ride! This story of a dead assassin going around on contract kills, but then this one gets all messy, with the realization that she can't carry it out and why, yeah, I couldn't put it down! 

This is a novella, but I loved how basically every line, every throwaway line, came together for this story. Those one off comments that kept building, and when added together, helped form this story. And oh, what a great story it was! 

We're thrown into this world right at the deep end, so it took a minute to get oriented and feel things out. As the story progressed and we learned what it was like-and why what was happening shouldn't have been, I was entertaining more and more! The idea of someone wanting revenge on you, so they reach into the past to pull a young version of yourself, and take a hit out on that young self, and have present day you be the one to do the killing? Yeah, that's just a wild plot! 

By the end, it was pretty mind-boggling, the lengths and depths of the plan, both against Eveen, and the one that she came up with. Watching all the legal machinations, and the gods, it all came together were wall, and was just so satisfying to read! 

This was a fantastic read and I can't wait to read more by P. Djèlí Clark!

OK, so I got 31 posts in 7 days, and yeah, it was a decent week, it was quite, I read a good number of books, and I have a number to read before the end of the month. Wish me luck! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read The Gargoyle's Captive!

Grace is a monster hunter who went into her demon deal with eyes wide open. Years ago, her mother made the same choice and was never seen again, and the answers Grace seeks can only be found in the demon realm.

Week 12 Reviews: A Dead Djinn in Cairo, The Angel of Khan el-Khalili, The Haunting of Tram Car 015, A Master of Djinn

My Review:
These were such great reads! I loved this world where this guy opened up the fabric between worlds, and got Djinn more present, and all the other events that followed on from that. It was so interesting to read, and I had a really great time! 

This is alternative history, with the whole al-Jahiz thing, where the Djinn are here, and so-called Angels. Where England was pushed out of Egypt (yeah!) So I don't know how close to our history it is, but the women's voting rights of the short stories was really great. But oh, the casual mentions of women's places in the world, how some of the guys viewed things, oh, it was infuriating from a modern perspective! 

The short stories really set up this world, of how the world works with the magical in the world, as well as to some of these characters, a bit of Agent Fatma, but also others, so we had a greater view of this world, which was really interesting to read.

A Master of Djinn, possibly dealing with the guy who so significantly changed their world, well, if it really is him, there's the chance of causing even more change. And even if it wasn't him, whoever was going it was causing chaos, and I loved watching Agent Fatma and Siti investigate!  

Loved reading these stories, and if we get more in this series, I'll definitely read them!

I'm currently reading A Master of Djinn, and I'm really enjoying it! 
I read Wardens of Eternity, and it was a really fantastic read that I hope gets a sequel! 
I'm going to be reading Sadie, and I'm a bit apprehensive, because I know it's going to be a hard book to read! But a good one!
