My Review:
I really enjoyed this book. I did like being in Grier's head more than Valora, because Grier wasn't cruel, and the misunderstanding from Valora's side wasn't interpreted correctly. I get that Valora has a lot on her plate, but that doesn't mean that I prefer to read that.

This world, with monsters and people with gifts-including one guy, saying that there's going to be a Chosen One to take down the big bad, Erys. In comes Valora, who has known she was the Chosen One basically since birth. So that's a lot of pressure on her shoulders.

I did for a while, think that Grier's interpretation of the prophecy was right. And the one line gave me pause, because who that bad guy would be from that line was pretty clear. But I didn't quite expect what happened there!

And man, that ending! It was amazing, I loved watching these sisters reconnect, to kick ass and to discover this big reveal. It was so entertaining to read, and I really enjoyed how those bits of story came together here in the end!

I really enjoyed this book, it was such a great read!

My Review:
Yeah! It was really great to read this book! It was different, and the synopsis was intriguing, and it's why I signed up to be a part of this tour! I wanted to know what was going to happen, and I'm glad that I did, because it was just so enjoyable!

This was a book about secrets. The things that you know the secret is there, but you don't know what it is. The ones were you have no clue that there was a secret, let alone its contents. And discovering/unraveling/understanding them was just great to read!

I really enjoyed Penn and her mysteries. There was more to her then met the eye, and then we started to see those sides of her, and they were a great part of this book, and a really interesting one at that! Just loved reading about her!

This is the first book in the series, so we learned a bit about this world, but there is still a ton that we don't know. And I felt the ending was really great for the start of the series, closed some threads while starting others for the next book!

Yeah, this book was really fantastic, and I'd love to read more of this series!

Such a Secret Place: Review

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! Such an incredible world, where the people are cursed to be without tears, characters, Ambry, who's had her brother taken by the Arcaians, Talon with secrets, but who wants the tears...yeah! Really great to read this book!

This world was really different then our own. Like, there wasn't electricity, there was magic. And that magic is slowly being stolen. Which is bring things into chaos, which is perfect for a book, but not so great for those that are in that book!

There was the question of why the tears chose Ambry, but apparently that's going to be revealed in the next book, which I can't wait for, because while a whole ton happens in this book, well, I know there's a whole lot more left to come!

And then there was that ending! There was so much going on, and then it just ended! Like in a snap, everything was over, almost nothing was resolved, which is just has me itching for reading the second book, like, now!

Really, really great book, and yeah, I enjoyed it a whole ton!

My Review:
I enjoyed this book quite a bit! It's definitely a world that I wouldn't want to live in, but it's pretty well built, and I enjoyed the details we got, and yeah, between that and the characters, I really enjoyed this book a lot!

Yeah, while the synopsis for me, is a little off-putting because of how much detail is in it, that's just one part of the presentation of the book, and the book itself, and nobody's perfect at everything, so yeah, this story was so good!

So Carlie's family has done a lot for the world. And the current president, that's something that he wants more of, and more in the direction that he's heading in, and Carlie's the perfect pawn in his plan, Except she's not, and that's because of who she is, and because of Jayden!

I really enjoyed how this book ended, because it is the first book in the series, yeah, it was a pretty great place for the characters, a nice rest after all that they've been through before going on the next adventure, and yeah!

This was a pretty great book (and the series I was most reminded of, was Bumped, for some reason!) and yeah, can't wait for more!

The Devil's Liege: Review

My Review:
I enjoyed this book! Mathias still has problems with his past life as king of the vampires, and when the current king is kidnapped, well, it puts Mathias in an even bigger between rock and hard place situation! Because they want him to be the interim king, and if things go badly, the king fully! Which he does not want.

I really enjoyed these characters, some more, and while we got the gang back in this one, we also got some new characters, which was really nice, and yeah, they just added so much more, from all the twists, to their entertaining ways as they figured out what to do!

Mathias has some really hard choices in this book, like it says above, because Nossy is his friend, and doing nothing isn't in his make up. And yet, that's what he's being told what to do. Which is like, half the reason he doesn't want to be king in the first place!

I enjoyed how things ended, it was a pretty good place for most of the characters, and most of the plot lines where tied up, and the ones left loose, well, I can easily see them being used for the 3rd book, so that's just great!

Yeah, this was a pretty great book, and I can't wait to read the next one!

I start hating Oliver just after his older brother Christian’s death. I drag him down a road of humiliation and pain to try to cope with what his brother did to me.

Now I'm starting a new life, away from Gargle and away from my past, but everything crashes when I see Oliver the first day at university. It’s clear that many things have changed since we've been apart. Now he is captain of the rugby team and the most popular bloke on campus.

Then he makes a bet and gives me an ultimatum: I leave Braxton forever and start somewhere else, or I stay and play his game… because he’s never forgotten that it was me who ruined his life two years ago.

My Review:
I have to say, that if I hadn't known that there was going to be a sequel, I'm not totally sure that I would've made it through this book. Mostly, because I read the last 2 pages when I was only a little bit into the book. So yeah, that edgy feeling, that I was going between frantic times of reading, and times of excessive energy that meant that I had to take a break.

Yeah, my family should be grateful that they weren't here while I was reading this book, because they hate when I make sounds while reading. Which is something I do in the exciting moments like when the characters have a significant moment, or for the awkward moments you know are coming. I have a, well, love/hate relationship with those moments!

There were a lot of awkward moments in this book! After all, there's the complicated past, of her tormenting him because of his brother, and now, he's paying her back, and it's almost blow for blow, pranking her, from the rumours, to when she invited him to a Halloween party that was no costume-but his said for him to be a vampire. That lined up with a guy making a date with her, and telling her of a PJ party, taking her there, and it wasn't one, and the guy was acting on Oliver's instructions, and told her she wasn't a good kisser. Yeah.

And that ending! Wow, that was an emotional roller coaster, and I can't believe that he did that, that his friends were videotaping that. I wish that she'd tell him about that night, on camera, so that he knew, that they all knew, what was really going on, and be ashamed, because what they were doing was incredibly awful!

I can't wait for the next book, I need it in my hands, so I can see Oliver grovel, because he needs to do that!

Joanna Mazurkiewicz was born in Poland. She moved to United Kingdom when she was only nineteen and just finished high school. My Review:
Oh, this book was bittersweet. I mean, it's the last book in a fantastic series, and yeah, the last one, so we say goodbye to all the characters who've survived to this book. And then not all of them survive to the epilogue, which is yeah, sad.

One of my most favourite of lines in this book, is a thought of Matt's, right near the beginning, about ketchup and swallowing words, Uncle Mike's words, to Badass Aunt Julie. Just a hilarious little line in all the horrible things that have already happened to the group since the novel opened up.

Of all the monsters from the first 4 books, the only ones that Matt hadn't fought yet (besides the Lions, which if I remember correctly, and I should since I just reread it yesterday, Matt fought something similar to them while in Africa) were the Pandas. So of course he gets a chance to fight them in this book, though they don't get much screen time, because everybody involved has good deal of hunting experience by now, or sadly, they die pretty quickly into any battle.

The whole thing of Mamie being Tink's proxy, and that Matt was just a guardian? And that the Dark Guy Whose Title Involved Dark, and Was 2 Words Long But I've Already Forgotten What the Other Word Was, was the force that caused the Big Bang, and created life as an unwanted side effect? That everyone came to being so long ago from stars-like the spirits in the knives? That was pretty cool!

Like I said, this book was bittersweet, but I loved the journey that I went on it, loved reading it, and this series will always remain near and dear to my heart! After all, almost all of them, I've read for a tour, and Matt Archer: Monster Hunter was one of the first book tour for review books that was a) a series and b) a series that I eagerly followed!
