My Review:
I had such a fantastic time reading this book! I loved her first book, and this sounded really great, and boy was it! This world with exorcists and Kings of Hell, it was all so great to read and all I wanted was to know more and read more!
Rui wants vengeance. Her mom was killed, and she feels guilty, because the creature had been drawn to her, but she had no way of knowing that was the case. And then she gives her power to Yiran because she was out of options, and things get pretty wild.
I can understand why Yiran was the way that he was, he was a bastard son of a well known magical family, who never knew his dad because he died when Yiran was young. And Yiran doesn't have powers. Until Rui gives him hers. I know why he wanted to keep them, but oh, I didn't like him for it!
Then there was the whole plot with the missing king, Four, and adding that element to the story was so great! I loved following along, and boy, I wasn't expecting where it went! But I can't wait to see what happens next, because I know it's going to be good!
This was a really fantastic read, and I can't wait to continue on!
