Week 38 Review: The Church of Frendo

The thrills and chills are far from over in the third novel from Bram Stoker Award winner and master of scare, horror legend Adam Cesare.

Quinn has just survived yet another bloody run-in with the murderous clown Frendo, but somehow still she knows this won't be the last. Tired of being hunted and seeing innocent people hurt, Quinn believes the only way to beat the horror is to take justice into her own hands--and stop the Frendo followers herself. Little does she know that this path will take her across cornfields and state lines, to where she will have to face the most dangerous and bloody menace True believers.

It's an all-new tale in this terrifying trio series about the villains inside us all, from the master of slashers and suspense, award–winning author Adam Cesare.

My Review:
Oh, this was such a great read! I've really enjoyed reading this series, but I'm glad that I've been reading them as they were being released, because this one is very different from the first two, what with Quinn going on this road trip to take down all these Frendo-obsessed people!

A good deal of books require you to suspend your disbelief, something that has grown and grown throughout the series. I mean, they're campy slasher reads, but this whole obsession with Frendo, and looking back at the past with fondness (but forgetting or not knowing just how hard it truly was) yeah, that required a bit less disbelief. It was still really enjoyable, but that part did make me raise questioning look.

There were 3 main perspectives we were following-Quinn as she's on her road trip, a teenager living in a town that has drastically changed recently, and the wife of the bad guy from the previous book. I wasn't sure how things were going to come together, but I couldn't wait to see it happen!

In the acknowledgements, it's mentioned that this is the end of Quinn's story, and later on mentioned hopes for a book 4 to see the cover. And I would love to see where this series might go without Quinn, since she's been the main character these 3 books.

Loved reading this book, and I would love to continue the series as was mentioned in the acknowledgements!
