Doctor Fionn Kane is running from a broken heart, one he hopes to mend in small-town Nebraska, far away from his almost-fiancé and his derailed surgical career. It's a simpler life: head down, work hard, and absolutely no romantic relationships. He wants none of the circus he left behind in Boston.
But then the Silveria Circus finds him.
Motorcycle performer Rose Evans has spent a decade on the road with Silveria, and it suits her just fine, especially when she has the urge to indulge in a little murder and mayhem when she's not in the spotlight. But when a kill goes awry and she ends up with a broken leg, she finds herself stuck in Nebraska at the home of the adorably nerdy town doctor.
The problem is, not every broken heart can be sewn back together.
. . . And the longer you stay in one place, the more likely your ghosts are to catch up.
My Review:
I had such a blast reading this book! I love her writing and this series, and I was excited to see how this trilogy would end, we've had bits and pieces of Rose and Fionn's story in the first two books, and I loved reading the whole thing!
It's funny how it turned out, that for each couple, there's the more steady person, and then there's the chaotic person. The girls were mainly chaotic, besides Sloane, since Rowan is very much the chaotic one of their relationship. It was such a delight to read, and I loved their love!
The focus of this book is less serial killer then the others. Rose was more of a helping hand to women who needed it, and was only recently getting more directly involved, which ended up with her having a bone broken, leading her to Fionn. And sure, there's a few deaths, but not to the level of the first two books. The focus was more on their relationship, which was affected by the whole killer thing, mainly because the guy was still alive.
The epilogues were a lot of fun to read! I wish that there had been 4, so each couple could have one, and then the one that sets up a new series with Autumn. It was great to see them all together, but it would've been nice, to wrap up the finale of the series, with a little look at all 3 couples.
Loved reading this book and I can't wait to read more by Brynne Weaver!
