Week 32 Reviews: For a Few Demons More, The Outlaw Demon Wails

My Review:
So something that I've been noticing, is that a pretty big thing in this series, is that Rachel will solve a problem, but then in the next book, something about the fixing, is causing her trouble now. And it's just fun to connect the dots, the Al stuff started in Dead Witch Walking, and then a few other things, too!

One thing that annoys me, is characters mentioning things, saying they happened last year. But most of the things they're mentioning are 3-6 months ago, which means they happened in the same year that this is happening. So yeah, that's my little annoyance.

For a Few Demons More was pretty heart-breaking! I mean, Kisten! That was really hard, especially since we didn't find out he was dead for a another chapter or two, and in this series, lots happens in each on, it seemed like more time passed then it actually did.

Then Outlaw, working with Trent to get the 5000 year old elf sample, well, that was certainly interesting! Loved how she solved that, and I can't wait to see the consequences of that, because I know there's going to be something coming soon-after all, there's 11 books out right now!

Loved reading these books so much, it's such a great series, and I can't wait to read more!

Week 32 Review: The Naturals

My Review:
Gah, I just absolutely loved this book! I love all Jennifer Lynn Barnes books, but man, this one just took the cake! So enjoyable, so entertaining, and just so great! A collection of teens with gifts that they're utilizing to solve crimes? Awesome!

One of the best parts of this book, were these characters. I wanted to know more about them, Cassie, who while her father's family means well, they don't understand her. Dean, who has the same gift as Cassie, but keeps to himself. Michael, the rich kid who presents a mask to the world. Sloane, the socially inept but master at numbers, and Lia, the girl you can't lie to, but loves to lie to you. And their two adult handlers, and then the guy that oversees them at the house. Yeah. Such great, awesome characters!

I am so glad that this is a series, because I just want to spend more time with these characters, learn more about them, to know if she'll fall in love with Michael, Dean, or both in different ways, and having to chose one of them, which looks like that's the way that it's going!

The mystery is personal for Cassie, because the murderer is bringing up memories of her mom, and then one scene is exactly how her mom disappeared. And was possibly killed. Yeah. And that twist at the end? Of how the bad guy was? That was unexpected, and it hurt, but it was awesome! Such a great twist!

I enjoyed this book so much, and yeah, I really can't wait for more! This was a really fantastic book!

Week 32 Review: Home to Whiskey Creek

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! These are pretty much new characters, characters that aren't/weren't part of the gang that the first three books characters were a part of. But Adelaide is the granddaughter of the one that owns the restaurant that the gang meets up, so yeah!

I really enjoyed their story, though it was sometimes hard to read. Adelaide had that secret in the past, and we knew it was something dark and violent, and as it was slowly revealed, yeah, it just proves that just because you live in a small town, doesn't mean that everyone that lives there is good!

One little nit pick that I have is, that in the book, it's mentioned that Adelaide is a blonde. Yet the model on the cover, is a brunette. That seems like a weird different to have, since they could've chosen a different model or something. But yeah.

I really hope that there's more then 5 books in this series. There are too many people in this town that need some happy endings still! Like Baxter! Oh, poor Baxter had a rough run of it in this book! But I hope for good things for him!

This was a really great, enjoyable book, and yeah, I can't wait for more!

My Review:
So while this is a review of Into the Dark, it's only of The Darkest Fire and The Darkest Prison, because The Amazon's Curse is being reviewed with it's series. The logistics are a bit complicated in my head, but it works out for me!

So yeah, The Darkest Fire, of before the demons were locked in Pandora's box? Yeah, that was really interesting! And sad, since the ending, with them dead, and their bones being used to make what we know as Pandora's Box to hold their prisoners? Yeah, sad. But a good story!

And then The Darkest Prison! I just wait for the day were Nike and Atlas come into the series in a full length novel! It'll be great! They had a really great story, from having the tables turned, but the attraction between them...yeah. Really enjoyed that!

Both of these novellas gave us a great look into the series, from some outsiders perspectives, and gave little bits to the world, which just added so much to it! I enjoyed them a lot! I can just remember reading this book for the first time, getting at the new Cross Iron Mills mall, then reading while waiting for lunch. So great!

Really enjoyed rereading this book, and now I need to read more of the Lords of the Underworld series!

Week 32 Reviews: The Vampire's Bride, The Amazon's Curse

My Review:
So while this is a review of Into the Dark (and The Vampire's Bride), it's only of The Amazon's Curse, because The Darkest Fire and The Darkest Prison are being reviewed with it's series. The logistics are a bit complicated in my head, but it works out for me!

Really enjoyed getting Layel and Delilah's story again! I really enjoyed it the first time, and this time, it was just really great! I mean, a Survivor-esque game, orchestrated by the gods, and the unwilling victims? Yeah, sounds really great!

And while it's Layel and Delilah's story, it's also another couple, as a side story, which was really great! The back and forth, as the one group is dealing with the game, and the other is dealing with finding their missing people, yeah, that was awesome!

Then The Amazon's Curse, following through on parts of the ending of The Vampire's Bride, was just fantastic! I really enjoyed as Nola gained various things back, and yeah, they were a great couple to read about, because they started in The Vampire's Bride!

I really enjoyed the both of these so much, they were really great, and I really wish that we had more books in this series! Heart of the Dragon was my first Gena Showalter book, and yeah, I just want more!

My Review:
I just loved rereading the both of these! I just enjoyed very single story, because they were just so freaking good! Having Fury's book, getting in the Belador world for the first story, and then The Story of a Son, well, I wouldn't mind a series there!

Of the short stories, I remember all of them but Beyond the Night, and that's just because while it was a really good short story, it didn't capture my imagination as the other 3. Which is too bad, it was really good, but I liked the others more!

The One Silent Night, of Stryker's story, yeah, there was a lot going on there, and while he's a villain, it's not his fault that the bad things are happening this time, which was really great! And that he worked with Acheron to face the bad guy!

And a pretty big development happened-they figured out how to circumvent the dying in the sun, which is really good for them, but not so good for the Dark-Hunters. If it made it so they wouldn't have to feed ever, ever, ever again, and the source didn't run out-seeing as it's another species, but one that we don't like, the bad guys from Devil May Cry-then it would be perfect, the Dark-Hunters wouldn't have to hunt them anymore!

Such great books, I enjoyed reading all of them, and now to keep rereading the Dark Hunter world books!
