Week 6 Review: Ten Things Sloane Hates About Tru

My Review:
It was so fantastic to read this book! I've loved Tera Lynn Childs books, and this was was just so great! It was the first contemporary book of hers that I know of, but otherwise has all the other elements in a Tera Lynn Childs book, great romance, and a good sense of humour and fun!

I enjoyed Sloane and Tru a lot! They both had their issues, Sloane with the event that took her and her mom to Austin, Tru with the way that his dad was. Tru was a harder to read, but Sloane knew that she didn't want to hang out with Tru because he was trouble.

I really enjoyed the school, while I don't get art, this seems like it'd be a great school to go to if you were someone that did, and that created art. And the idea that this series is going to focus on this school, these students, is really fascinating!

There was a really great mystery in this book. Well, two-what Sloane did to cause the move, and then whomever was setting her up at NextGen. The way that they caught her was pretty ingenious plan, and yeah that the truth came out!

This was such a fantastic book, and I can't wait to read more about this school of characters in the series to come!

Week 6 Review: City of the Lost

As much as he hates it, he needs Casey. As for Casey, coming to the far North may have started out as a sacrifice she was willing to make for her best friend. But maybe, just maybe, she needs Rockton as much as the town needs her. 

My Review:
This was such a great book! I was waiting until all 6 parts of it were collected together to read it, since there's so many books to read, that waiting for the instalments to be published would have been evil, so I saved myself that.

I loved this story of Casey, and giving up her life-again-for her friend, and starting fresh in a pretty strange place. And what a place! A 3 to 5 year stay, payment to enter, having jobs, earning more credits for the more valuable work. Oh, and that they're all running from something, and the population is 4 guys to 1 lady with very little in the way of entertainment. That was something that was brought up, and I would love to see it explored more!

Casey's idea for Eric to have in the back of his head a back plan was really awesome! That he could set up another town, well, camp in the beginning, that the council couldn't kick him out of, and he wouldn't have to go down South, that works for him. And there were people who'd go with him!

There were so many twists and turns in this book! Of course it's a Kelley Armstrong book, but there were so many, from the bad guy, well, guys, since there were multiple things going on. And personal details about the characters. The Eric one being the biggest for me! Yeah. That was so great to read!

One thing for me, was that these characters-Casey and Eric Dalton, reminded me a lot of Nadia and Jack from Kelley Armstrong's other series. Both the characters compared together (Casey and Nadia, Eric and Jack) and the relationships of the couples. I noticed this near the end, when Eric was talking about his feelings, and his way of talking reminded me of Jack. I know they're different characters, but they have their similarities, and it would be awesome to see all four of them interact!

Such a fantastic series, and I can't wait to see where this series goes!

Week 6 Review: A Quick Bite

My Review:
This book was a lot of fun! So enjoyable, and different, and just a nice vampire book! I enjoyed the world, the mythos, the characters and the romance, and I can't wait to see more of this series, and how things are going to develop!

Lissianna was really awesome! She is relatively young in vampire terms and she's scarred from her first live hunting attempt, but she was such an amazing person! Really enjoyed reading about her, and Gregory! He was smart and funny, and really likeable!

I also really enjoyed her family, they were close-knit, and they cared for one another. That was really touching, and balanced well with the vampire hunters clumsy attempts, like the holy water, the crosses, and all the typical vampire weaknesses.

One thing that I really loved, was this world. It was really different, combining science with the nanos, Atlantis, and vampires. And details such as if a vampire has another vampire's blood, the extra nanos would mean a faster rate of blood consumption! So fascinating!

Really fantastic book, and I can't wait to read more of this series!

My Review:
Some more really awesome books in this series! I'm enjoying them so much, and Eileen Wilks is now in my favourite authors list because this series is just so fantastic! Love it so much, and I need to start collecting paperbacks of this series!

Loved this time with the gang, and all these developments that were going on! Some things were hard to deal with, what with titles includes words like blood and death, but they worked through the challenges and persevered on towards the next adventure!

We did get to learn about her grandmother in Blood Magic, which was really fantastic, since she's be a pretty pivotal character! And of the latest human agent on earth of Her. And Lily's abilities are explored!

I kinda wish I had a brain that could come up with such plots and then such fantastic solutions! And these characters create plans and battle attacks that work, and they were just so entertaining to read! Plus the fact that won!

This series is so freaking great, and I can't wait to read more!
