Week 19 Reviews: A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch, A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire

From Goodreads:
Calladia Cunnington curses the day she met Astaroth the demon, but when he shows up memoryless, why does she find him so helpless . . . and sort of hot?

Calladia Cunnington knows she's rough around the edges, despite being the heir to one of small-town Glimmer Falls' founding witch families. While her gym obsession is a great outlet for her anxieties and anger, her hot temper still gets the best of her and manifests in bar brawls. When Calladia saves someone from a demon attack one night, though, she's happy to put her magic and rage to good use . . . until she realizes the man she saved is none other than Astaroth, the ruthless demon who orchestrated a soul bargain on her best friend.

Astaroth is a legendary soul bargainer and one of the nine members of the demon high council--except he can't remember any of this. Suffering from amnesia after being banished to the mortal plane, Astaroth doesn't know why a demon named Moloch is after him, nor why the muscular, angry, hot-in-a-terrifying-way witch who saved him hates him so much.

Unable to leave anyone in such a vulnerable state--even the most despicable demon--Calladia grudgingly decides to help him. (Besides, punching an amnesiac would be in poor taste.) The two set out on an uneasy road trip to find the witch who might be able to restore Astaroth's memory so they can learn how to defeat Moloch. Calladia vows that once Astaroth is cured, she'll kick his ass, but the more time she spends with the snarky yet utterly charming demon, the more she realizes she likes this new, improved Astaroth . . . and maybe she doesn't want him to recover his memories, after all.

From Goodreads:
Ben Rosewood never meant to be bound to a vampire succubus, especially one as sexy-yet-terrifying as Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux, but he has to admit there are some fang-tastic perks….

Werewolf Ben Rosewood is happy with his life. One hundred percent. Everything is fine. His business, Ben's Plant Emporium, is thriving, and he's even expanding the shop. His anxiety disorder is…well, it's been better, but that comes with the territory of running a business and having beastly urges every full moon, right? As for romance—who has the time? Though his family is desperate to see him settled, Ben is fine approaching forty as a single werewolf. But after drunkenly bidding on and winning a supposedly-possessed crystal on eBay one night, he finds himself face-to-face with a beautiful but angry vampire.

Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux is a rare breed—a vampire succubus born from two elite European bloodlines during medieval times. But thanks to an evil witch, she's been stuck in a crystal since she was thirty, forced to obey orders from the possessor of the rock. Eleanora's been dreaming of breaking the spell and severing the witch's head for centuries. But did this witch really sell her to someone new, and for only ninety-nine cents?

Eleanora would claw this werewolf's heart out and eat it, if only the binding spell would allow her to. But Eleanora and Ben soon realize they can help each other with both vengeful and less hostile needs. And why not have a little fun along the way?

My Review:
I just loved reading these books! The first was so much fun and I adored the romance, and it was great to be back in this world, and follow these next two couples and their stories! They were just a delight to read and I'm so glad that I picked them up!

We were introduced to Calladia and Astaroth in the first book, they're the best friend and an antagonist of the previous couple, respectively. Which means that she doesn't have the best opinion of him. Until he shows up without his memory and she has to help him. Their dynamics were so much fun to read!

I had a really great time reading Eleanor and Ben's story! The fact that he accidently buys the crystal that she's stuck in, yeah, they had a very interesting beginning, and I loved to read about them, it was just so much fun and entertaining to read!

I'm having such a great time with these characters in this world, their romances and their struggles, and they're just really delightful to read. So if we get more of this series, I will definitely be picking them up, they're a blast to read!

These were really excellent reads and I can't wait for more by Sarah Hawley!
