Eves life might not be perfect, but it's hers. She has money, freedom, and a client list that she's handpicked over the years. If sometimes she gets a little too attached to those clients? Well, that's her problem. After a stressful day, she's looking forward to dinner and a long night with Azazel…until he asks her to sign a contract under the guise of roleplay—and then kidnaps her to another realm.
Azazel has been in love with Eve for years, but he knows his place. The window to offer her a contract has long since closed, so he takes her in the only way he can—as her client. Until one of his enemies realizes exactly how much Eve means to him…forcing him to lie to her to protect her.
Unfortunately for Azazel, Eve isn't thankful for the protection. She may be stuck in the demon realm with her new captor, but she's going to make him choke on every moment they spend together.
Too bad her heart is more in the mix than she'd ever admit…
My Review:
I had such a great time reading this book. I really enjoy this series and Katee Robert's writing. This is a story that's been a long time coming basically since the beginning of the series and I really enjoyed seeing these two fall in love!
We've gotten bits and pieces of their story from the previous books, but it was really great to see their beginnings and just how much their situation is a little screwed up, what with his family and the secret he was keeping from her about his origins and his intentions. They had a lot to overcome and I really enjoyed watching them do so!
One thing I would've really liked would be to see all the previous couples from the books. To see how they're doing now. I know the timeline was running pretty concurrently, but there could've been an epilogue where we could've seen all these characters, which I would've loved because I really enjoy them and I would've liked a little bit more time in with them.
I'm not sure if this is the end of the series or not, because this was the full collection of ladies from the initial market and all of the leaders, and I don't think there's any more territories but we could get stories from the members of the territories, not just the leaders so we'll see what the future brings or if we have more time in this world, maybe with other series because there's quite a few now that are connected.
Love reading this book and I can't wait to read more by Katee Robert!
