Saying something is the next big thing, I don't really like, because it gives me the ick for some reasons. Comping, something meets something, that gives an idea of what the book is like, and if someone might be interested in it, that I'm good with. What about you guys? Happy reading!
I generally don't take much notice of them, especially if I haven't read the books mentioned. If you have read the comparing book then I can see that it can be useful.
