Book Blogger Hop #335, March 8th

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013. Check out the hop here

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

The Question of the week is: Do you use a book's synopsis for your review? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

For my review posts, I have the Goodreads link, and the synopsis. For some reviews, I do reference the synopsis, so I use details, so I do my best not to spoil the book, but I don't promise it, since I read so much, it's hard to write reviews. What about you guys? Happy reading!

  1. I mainly use the Goodreads synopsis at the beginning of my reviews. I then go into what I thought about the book.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. While I do like to write my own synopsis of a book (because I have more control over what I share), I sometimes will use the Goodreads Summary, especially if I am short on time or am having trouble writing a synopsis myself. It's definitely the jumping off point for my reviews before I share my opinion.

    Have a great weekend, Louisa!

    1. Oh, props to you, I don't have the creativity or the time to write my own. But yeah, the information in a synopsis is a good starting point! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!

  3. That's a great point that if you read a lot and review pretty much everything that you read, you're going to have to make the post-writing as easy on yourself as possible. I read slowly and only write reviews for some of what I read, so I can take a little more time.

    1. Yeah, if there's an entry on Goodreads or Storygraph, then I'm going to be doing a blog post review, and I have since early 2011. And I've mainly read a book a day for over a decade, so yeah, taking the easier route is needed!

But I need to, because my memory is horrid, so I could and have forget basically everything about a book, even if I've read it multiple times, because it's been a while since I last read it. Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
