Week 45 Reviews: A Very Declan Christmas, 300 Fox Way Holiday Piece, A Minor Raven Boys Holiday Drabble, The Raven Boys, The Dream Thieves, Blue Lily, Lily Blue, The Raven King, Opal

From Goodreads:
"I've done a holiday short for the last few years. Here's another one from the Raven Cycle universe." - Maggie Stiefvater

From Goodreads:
A peek into the holiday festivities at 300 Fox Way.

From Goodreads:
In previous years, Scholastic asked me to do a short 300 Fox Way holiday piece. This year, I decided I'd do one for Gansey. Like the 300 Fox Way piece, it takes place the December before The Raven Boys begins.

From Goodreads:
"There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark's Eve," Neeve said. "Either you're his true love . . . or you killed him."

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.

His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he's looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

From Goodreads:
Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same.

Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life.

Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after...

From Goodreads:
There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.

Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs.

The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.

Friends can betray.
Mothers can disappear.
Visions can mislead.
Certainties can unravel.

From Goodreads:
The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love's death. She doesn't believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

From Goodreads:
An enchanting story from Maggie Stiefvater featuring Opal, Ronan, and Adam from her bestselling Raven Cycle, taking place after the events of The Raven King.

My first review of 300 Fox Way Holiday Piece, A Minor Raven Boys Holiday Drabble, The Raven Boys, The Dream Thieves, Blue Lily, Lily Blue, The Raven King
My Review:
I'm so happy that I decided to read all these books back to back! With the Ronan spin off series first book, Call the Hawk, just coming out, well, I had to reread these books, it's been years since I read The Raven Boys for the first time. I had to, and yeah, it was so great to have all these details all together! Plus, I hadn't read some of the short stories before, so that was fantastic!

I forgot, but was quickly reminded, that they didn't know that Noah was dead, even though he told them. Or the circumstances with Chainsaw, how Ronan pulled her out of his dreams! I remembered some of the bigger things, but not all of them, like how it was all resolved in the end!

Watching this gang get together, form these bonds, was really special to read. Blue and Gansey had a heck of a rocky start, but they all grew close, and it was so great to watch them go on these adventures all together!

There were some really fantastic follow throughs between the books. Like, the car at the end, is the one that Ronan created in The Dream Thieves, the one that wasn't perfect for Gansey because it wasn't imperfect. That was just such a great moment as a reader! Little things from different books coming together!

Loved reading this series so much, and I can't wait to read Call Down the Hawk!
