Week 33 Review: For Better and Worse

From Goodreads:
On their first date back in law school, Natalie and Will Clarke bonded over drinks, dinner and whether they could get away with murder. Now married, they'll put the latter to the test when an unchecked danger in their community places their son in jeopardy. Working as a criminal defense attorney, Nat refuses to rely on the broken legal system to keep her family safe. She knows that if you want justice…you have to get it yourself.

Shocked to discover Nat's taken matters into her own hands, Will has no choice but to dirty his, also. His family is in way too deep to back down now. He's just not sure he recognizes the woman he married. Nat's always been fiercely protective, but never this ruthless or calculating. With the police poking holes in their airtight plan, what will be the first to fall apart: their scandalous secret—or their marriage?

My Review:
This as a really fantastic read! I loved reading about this pair, and the lengths that they would go to protect their family! It was a dark and compelling read, and I couldn't put it down, I had to know what was going to happen next!

At the start, they're a pretty normal family, wife and husband, and son. But when their son is in danger, well, Nat is highly protective, and willing anything to defend her family. Which brings Will into helping her get away with it, and things start to go wrong, and I couldn't get enough!

This was such a well done thriller, I wanted them to get away with it, because she was just protecting her kid, and while her methods aren't technically, morally, legally, right, but it is so easily understandable. We were kept on the edge of my seat, to know if they would get away with it!

Because of the troubles with the police and that whole situation was going on, Nat and Will's marriage was on the rocks, and that was a delightful part of the story, because marriages are work, and this isn't a normal situation. It was another stressor in already stressful situation, and conflict is so enjoyable to read! Loved watching it unfold!

Loved reading this book, it was a really great mystery thriller!
