From Goodreads:
Seventeen-year-old Tessa McCaide has come a long way since her abrupt entrance into the world of werewolves, but she still has just as far to go before she's comfortable with turning full wolf. In the meantime, she's avoiding the topic of shifting to four legs any way she can. Thankfully her mate, Dastien Laurent, is quite the distraction.
When she finds her best friend, Meredith, getting sick in the bathroom, Tessa knows something's majorly wrong. Meredith was cursed years ago, and the dark magic kept her wolf dormant—only now the wolf is awake, and that same spell is killing her.
Tessa has no intention of sitting around while Meredith wastes away. Even if it means playing with magic she doesn't understand, she'll do anything to save Meredith's life. Including bargaining with the local coven of witches and its crazed leader, whose only goal is getting Tessa to join the witchy ranks.
Can Tessa save her friend without losing herself?
Life has been crazy since Tessa McCaide moved to Texas. She's gone from being a normal-ish girl with visions to a super-powered werewolf. She’s fought off vampires and broken a nearly unbreakable curse. And she's got a hot mate, Dastien Laurent, to keep her busy.
Things are looking up until the full moon ceremony rolls around. Before Tessa can strengthen her bond with Dastien, the local coven crashes the gates, demanding that Tessa—their heir apparent—be returned. If the pack wants to avoid a war with the witches, handing Tessa over is the only option.
Tessa doesn't want to cause an all-out fight, but joining a dark-magic coven isn't on her to-do list, especially if embracing her magic side means parting with Dastien. When the coven leader tries to control Tessa with dark-magic, Tessa realizes she has to dismantle the coven or prepare the pack for war. Either choice will change her life—and her world—forever.

My Review:
I had such a fantastic time continuing this series! I loved the first book, and it was great to dive deeper into the series, to spend more time with these characters, and the adventures that they had, because boy, is Lucinda up to some bad things that they need to stop!
In Avoiding Alpha, I honestly wanted to shake her. Her reasoning to go back to the coven, to deal with Lucinda, was flawed. Lucinda wanted to get rid of Tessa's wolf, which would harm her. She was letting her panic over Meredith's poor condition get the better of her. Though it did end up giving her the solution so it worked out in the end! Though I thought she could've punched Lucinda and get her blood to break the curse, that would've been satisfying!
Claudia de Santos has always looked out for every witch but herself. She fought from the shadows as her coven turned dark, and with a little help from her half-witch/half-Alpha werewolf cousin, Teresa McCaide, Claudia is doing everything she can to keeper friends and family in the light.
Now the coven has splintered into two factions: Luciana's army of witches wielding dark magic, and Claudia's few stragglers who fight with the wolves. War is coming, and it won't be much of a battle if Claudia can't find the spells to counteract Luciana's demonic power.
But Luciana strikes before they're prepared, and Claudia's twin brother pays the price. Suddenly, going to Peru in search of ancient Incan magic doesn't seem so crazy. Fighting evil will require a pure spirit, but her quest is full of temptations, including a handsome Peruvian guide with secrets of his own. Finding love is the last thing on Claudia's ever-growing to-do list, but sometimes what you need has a way of seeking you out.

Alpha Divided, I was so worried that something was going to go wrong. Of course it did, but it was great to spend that time with her cousins given the next book, and seeing Tessa learn a bit more about her magic, which she's going to need!
It was interesting being in Claudia's head, espcailly under these trying circumstances with her twin in dire condition. I loved her journey, and watching her find confidence in herself, after she'd been used for so long. Of course Lucas was a great addition to the series, as well! Loved their romance!
Loved reading these books and I can't wait to continue on with the series!
