Week 31 Review: The Beautiful and the Cursed

 My Review:
This was such a fantastic book! So unique and original, and the writing just swept me away! I couldn't wait to turn each page, find out what would be happening next! It was just a great adventure, and I wanted more!

So, not often that you read about gargoyles! Well, there's the upcoming series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, but that's different, and yeah, this just was amazing to read about! I loved this world, and what we slowly learned about it! It was really awesome! I especially loved that they call themselves the disposessed!

I enjoyed the various POV's we got, because it gave so much more of the world, seeing out of more eyes, some that see different things then others, because they know more! And what with the secrets and lies going around, well, that's a good thing for us!

I loved the various romances in this book, because they are a part of the reason why this book ended like it did, with what some characters did for their loves, and yeah, that was just really fantastic! I enjoyed reading about it so much!

Such a great book, with an ending that ensures that I want more, because boy, do I want more!

Week 31 Review: One for the Money

Abject poverty is a great motivator for learning new skills, but being trained in the school of hard knocks by people like psycho prizefighter Benito Ramirez isn't. Still, if Stephanie can nab Morelli in a week, she'll make a cool ten grand. All she has to do is become an expert bounty hunter overnight-and keep herself from getting killed before she gets her man...

My Review:
I watched the movie first. Because I hadn't really heard of this series, my mom had read them, so was interested in watching the movie, and it looked good, so I started watching it. And it was pretty close, so yeah, it was a lot of fun to read this book soon after!

So Stephanie is in a tight spot, financially. So she starts working at the bail company, and yeah, it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, but it works out pretty well! Especially seeing who her first bail jumper is Joe Morelli, who has a complicated past with Stephanie!

This mystery was just really great! Inter-spaced with family dinners, questioning prostitutes, making friends with Lola, and the situation with Benito Ramirez, there was a lot going on! These characters were real, and really funny, and couldn't get enough!

I loved the twists in the end, I didn't see them coming, because they were in a different place then the movie, and yeah, I just enjoyed reading them so much! It didn't help that it meant that the book was ending, but yeah, just because the big bang had happened, that the book was done!

Yeah, I enjoyed this book so much, it was so entertaining, and I loved Stephanie's voice so much, and I can't wait to read more!

My Review:
This book is going to mean a lot to the series in the long run, I think. A good part of it is dealing with Seichan's mom, seeing as her dad just died in the previous book. And another is dealing with the latest end the world battle!

In this book, we were introduced to some new characters-Duncun Wren and Jada Shaw. Duncan, who has magnets in his fingertips to make them more sensitive and such, and Jada, who's an expert in the science around the asteroid that could destroy Earth in 4 days if Sigma doesn't do anything. So that was great! I really enjoyed them, and where they ended in the book!

But on the flip side, while we got to have some more time with Rachel and Vigor, well, they die in this book, in the end. But some of the science in this book, is multi-universes, which means that we got to see them after. Which was really great, really bittersweet moment!

I really enjoyed the history, though I confused Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan. And the bad guys in this book, they were more to add conflict, to make it harder for the good guys, since they didn't know about the 4 day Earth ending event coming. That was the main threat in this book, not really something that's the easiest to fight! But they won, so yeah!

This was such a great book, I enjoyed it so much, and I can't wait to read more books by James Rollins!

Week 31 Review: Taking Eve

 My Review:
I thought that after Sleep No More that Eve had no more mysteries in her past. I'd thought that after the completion of the Eve-Quinn-Bonnie trilogy. But nope, there's a whole new trilogy starting with this book, with one pretty important figure surrounding the mystery-Eve's dad.

So this book starts off innocently as it can be, what with Jane's dog being poisoned. And there's all this bustle around this-until Eve's taken, and it's reasoned out that the poisoning was a distraction. Which is worsened by Jane getting shot, though it could've hit anyone there, and affected the whole gang.

I really enjoyed the new character, Margaret, the animal whisperer. And in a paranormal sense, because they could send her images. And that was really interesting, and seeing as she's going to help some more, yeah, I can't wait for that!

That ending? That reveal, that Zander's her dad? This guy who we've seen in a few surrounding POV's, and a few of his own? And that he's the whole reason why Eve was taken? Yeah, a bit creepy!! But I just wanted more!

This was a really fantastic book, and I loved this kick off of this mini trilogy in the main series1

Week 31 Review: Found

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book so much! I've been enjoying this series since the beginning, and while this is the end of this series, I believe, there are spin off series, so there's the potential to see some of these characters again, yeah!

So Allie finally, finally, is done with Levi's secrets. And she lets him know that. And while there were one or two situations that weren't great, in the end, they worked thought it, and their various differences, and came out stronger! And it was great!

I really enjoyed the solution that Allie came up with, because it comes with more benefits then negatives for those involved! Very smart arrangement, and with the spin off series, well, we'll be able to see some of those benefits!

One thing that we didn't see, that I wanted, would be their wedding. It's going to come, now it's just a matter of when, which makes me hope that since it wasn't in this series, that we'll see it in the spin off series because that'd be great!

Really enjoyed this book, wrapped things up nicely, and I can't wait to read more!

My Review:
I loved reading these books in one book! So good, and awesome, and yeah, it was really great to reread them! I just love reading Meg Cabot books, they're just so freaking good! And Jess is an awesome character to read!

Love how the first book was written as a if it was the thing that you fill out, the series of events that happened leading up to the incident that the police are investigating! And then how she did the same for the next one! So great!

These were just hilarious! Like when she's broken out of the base, it was really hilarious! And then the ghost story that was taken from a few Steven King books. Just so funny, and then those are balanced with the crimes, but still! Really great!

I just loved reading about Jess and Rob, and her friends, again! It was just great, and watching Jess grow up a bit through these books, because she made a mistake, but she learned from that, and won't make it again!

Such a great book! I enjoyed it so much, and now to reread more!

Week 31 Review: Spellcaster

My Review:
I enjoyed this book so much! I've enjoyed her other series, and yeah, this one is started off with a pretty incredible book! Such a great, well detailed world, and I really enjoyed how the system worked, you had to have the power, but then you had to work and use it, and the materials were strange, but cool!

I enjoyed all the mysteries that were going on in this book! From Mateo who just has something strange about him, and the friend that Nadia makes, and how she's connected-or not-to everything, was just awesome to read about!

Mateo did get on my nerves, what with his back and forth with her, it was annoying and likeable! But in the end, he was better then that in the end, and plus, it wasn't really his fault, it was her's, for the curse that's on the town!

Oh, that ending! That the bad guy was happy, well, that's never a good sign! But for the moment, they came alive, and mostly healthy, so that's a win, for now! More battles to fight, later, though! And I can't wait to read them!

Really enjoyed this book, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book!
