Mostly not. I don't use things like twitter and such, but I do check out their websites and some of their blogs, at least the ones that do have them. Plus I'm signed up to author newsletters. What about you guys? Happy reading!
I know some authors through blogging. Every now and then they come to my blog. I follow authors on social media to help share their updates.

DeleteI don't have myself signed up to any newsletters. I tend to look for bookish updates on platforms such as Goodreads.
