Their Union Is His Revenge.
Isolde de Lara considers her wedding day her death day. To end a years-long war, she is to marry vampire king, Adrian Aleksandr Vasiliev, and kill him.
But her assassination attempt is thwarted and Adrian threatens that if Isolde tries to kill him again, he will raise her as the undead. Faced with the possibility of becoming the thing she hates most, Isolde seeks other ways to defy him and survive the brutal vampire court.
Except it isn't the court she fears most — it's Adrian. Despite their undeniable chemistry, she wonders why the king — fierce, savage, merciless — chose her as consort.
The answer will shatter her world.

My Review:
These were such fantastic reads! I've heard great things about Scarlett St. Clair's writing, but her other two series are still ongoing, and while this one is, as well, I got book 2 from NetGalley, so I had an added incentive to read this series first! And oh, I had a really excellent time reading them!
These books were so easy to read. I was reading King of Battle and Blood physically, and I was reading for less than an hour-and I'd read around 100 pages. I was just sucked into this world with these characters and their stories, and I couldn't put them down!
The next book in the epic fantasy series by USA Today bestselling author Scarlett St. Clair.
Isolde, newly coronated queen, has finally found a king worthy of her in the vampire Adrian. But their love for each other has cost Isolde her father and her homeland. With two opposing goddesses playing mortals and vampires like chess pieces against one another, Isolde is uncertain who her allies are in the vampire stronghold of Revekka.
Now, as politics in the Red Palace grow more underhanded and a deadly blood mist threatens all of Cordova, Isolde must trust in the bond she's formed with Adrian, even as she learns troubling information about his complicated past.

This fantasy world of vampires and Goddesses and magic was so interesting to read! The politics and the history, which become more and more relevant as the books go on, to why these characters are acting like they are. I just couldn't get enough!
Queen of Myth and Monsters was so fantastic, there was so much going on, we got Adrian's perspective a few times, we learned so much about these characters, though some of the reveals hurt. A lot. And oh, that ending? That was intense and so very cruel, and I need to know what's going to happen next!
These were so fantastic, and I can't wait for book 3!
