My Review:
Yeah, another Kate Daniel's story! I love Kate and this world, and that we were surprised by this last month, the wait for it hasn't been that bad! It was well worth it, I loved this story, it was such a great read, which of course it was going to be, it's an Ilona Andrews book!
Kate and Curran are starting over in Wilmington. They want to give Conlan a chance at normalcy, as much as they can, having a low profile, letting him interact with his age group. But neither Kate, or Curran, are really built for low profile-ness.
Case in point, when their contractor's nephew is kidnapped, Kate takes it up to rescue him. Things do blow up, literarily at one point, and in the end, Kate's use of power words will probably make her wish she'd done things differently but to get the same result. It was of course so entertaining to read!
We were introduced to a good deal of the power players in Wilmington, from the Order, the People, and the Pack, so it'll be interesting to see where things might go in later books in this series. I can't wait, because I love this world and their writing so much!
I loved reading this book, and I can't wait to see what the Wilmington Years bring in the future!
