Week 32 Review: The Alchemists of Loom

Her vengeance. His vision.

Ari lost everything she once loved when the Five Guilds' resistance fell to the Dragon King. Now, she uses her unparalleled gift for clockwork machinery in tandem with notoriously unscrupulous morals to contribute to a thriving underground organ market. There isn't a place on Loom that is secure from the engineer turned thief, and her magical talents are sold to the highest bidder as long as the job defies their Dragon oppressors.

Cvareh would do anything to see his sister usurp the Dragon King and sit on the throne. His family's house has endured the shame of being the lowest rung in the Dragons' society for far too long. The Alchemist Guild, down on Loom, may just hold the key to putting his kin in power, if Cvareh can get to them before the Dragon King's assassins.

When Ari stumbles upon a wounded Cvareh, she sees an opportunity to slaughter an enemy and make a profit off his corpse. But the Dragon sees an opportunity to navigate Loom with the best person to get him where he wants to go.

He offers her the one thing Ari can't refuse: A wish of her greatest desire, if she brings him to the Alchemists of Loom.

My Review:
I absolutely loved reading this book! I love her Married to Magic series, so when I saw this book on one of my library apps, I just had to pick it up! And I just loved it! It's very different from the Married to Magic series, in terms of tone, and atmosphere, but part of it is that this a different series, set in a different world. Absolutely loved reading it!

This world of Loom, with the citizens and guilds of Loom and the floating world of Nova, where the Dragons are from...it was so interesting to read, there were so many fascinating aspects, and I can't wait to learn and explore more!

This is the book were we explore Loom, and learn about the guilds, and how they've been subjugated by the Dragons. We learned a bit of how things used to be, and it's yet other area where I need to learn more about, Elise Kova just created such a colourful world with this series!

Ari is someone with a history, and secrets, and we only scratched the surface, given all the mentions that we got. It's a part of the plot that I can't wait to further explore, espcailly since it's going to be a vital part of the series going forward to help in the fight against the Emperor!

This was so fantastic, I loved reading it, and I can't wait to read more!
