Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
•Grab your current read
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today's teaser comes from The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski, page 34.
"Smith is what my first slaver called me. It's not my name. It's Arin."
Ok, I know that's more than 2 lines, but the last 2 are short! And all 3 makes them together more important! What about you guys? Happy reading!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!
This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!

That's an interesting teaser. I wonder who Arin is speaking to.
ReplyDeleteI usually use more than two sentences so the teaser makes sense too.
Here's my TT - http://fuonlyknew.com/2014/12/16/teaser-tuesdays-92-dependent/
Oh, just the other main character, who is just bought him. The Winner's Curse-paying a big amount for something, in this case, someone, and feelings of regret over that. Though right now, I don't think she has any! Though from the ending that I had to read, I think she might have some soon! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
