Six friends. Five suspects. One murder.
Savana Caruso and Jesse Melo have known each other since they were kids, so when Jesse texts Savana in the middle of the night and asks her to meet him at Cray's Warehouse, she doesn't hesitate. But before Savana can find Jesse, she bears witness to a horrifying murder, standing helpless on the ground as a mysterious figure is pushed out of the fourth floor of the warehouse.
Six teens were there that night, and five of them are now potential suspects. With the police circling, Savana knows what will happen if the wrong person is charged, particularly once she starts getting threatening anonymous text messages.
As she attempts to uncover the truth, Savana learns that everyone is keeping secrets—and someone is willing to do whatever it takes to keep those secrets from coming to light.
My Review:
This was such a fantastic read! I've picked up one of her other books, but I ended up reading this book first, and I'm glad I did, the synopsis of this book really drew me in, and I had a blast reading this book and watching the mystery unfold!
This story of 6 teens, and how one of this is killed, yeah, it was so interesting. I loved how it alternated perspectives, as well as timelines, so we got a broader picture, but maybe someone isn't telling the truth, and that we didn't know who was dead was just icing on the cake!
There was also a bit of mixed media in this book, with missing text messages, and of course police interviews given that there was a crime committed, and I loved what they added to the story, I always like getting more information!
This book was a thrill ride to the end, of not knowing what was going on, what had happened, and what secrets were being kept. I loved watching it all unfold, and finding out what was going on, that was just, chef's kiss. Loved how it wrapped up the story!
I had a really terrific time reading this book and I can't wait to read more by Gabrielle Lepore!
