Teaser Tuesday #405, January 15th

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Ambrosia of The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today's teaser comes from Leashing the Tempest by Jenn Bennett, page 1.

"But what did I know? I’d been on all of two boats in my twenty-five years, and neither was remarkable."

Ok, seems like there's a bit of passive aggressive meaning with this, but I love the tone, it's pretty hilarious! What about you guys? Happy reading!
