Week 7 Review: Queen of Air and Darkness

From Goodreads:
Dark secrets and forbidden love threaten the very survival of the Shadowhunters in Cassandra Clare's Queen of Air and Darkness, the final novel in the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling The Dark Artifices trilogy. Queen of Air and Darkness is a Shadowhunters novel.

What if damnation is the price of true love?

Innocent blood has been spilled on the steps of the Council Hall, the sacred stronghold of the Shadowhunters. Their society now teeters on the brink of civil war. One fragment of the Blackthorn family flees to Los Angeles, seeking to discover the source of the disease that is destroying the race of warlocks. Meanwhile, Julian and Emma take desperate measures to put their forbidden love aside and undertake a perilous mission to Faerie to retrieve the Black Volume of the Dead. What they find there is a secret that may tear the Shadow World asunder and open a dark path into a future they could never have imagined. Caught in a race against time, Emma and Julian must save the world of the Shadowhunters before a deadly curse destroys them and everyone they love.

My Review:
Wow, I just absolutely loved this book! We saw so much, so much happened, it was an incredible book! I just loved reading it so much! Emma and Julian, Cristina, Mark and Kieran, they both had such great journeys as characters and as couples! Loved reading it! Maybe one future couple, but they're just kids right now, so I'll wait to see what happens there, romantically!

So we got to Faerie, and we also go to another world, like we did in CoHF. But apparently, this world is worse than that one, and it's only different by one thing-Clary lived. And there were so many changes, and it was interesting to see how things played out differently! And who survived and who didn't. Some creative solutions and interesting ideas arose from it all and it was so great to read!

Oh, Ty. His quest to bring back Livia was so heartbreaking. Because she was his twin, he's on the spectrum, almost certainly, if diagnosed. He's in so much pain, his need to bring her back, it blinds him. Watching Kit want to help him, but not as Ty wanted to be helped, because he grew increasingly uneasy about it all, I couldn't stop reading!

Then there's Shade. He only had a small part to play, but given that we also know him under a different name, and the last time we saw him, he wasn't in the best of circumstances! I can't wait to see that story, which I know we will!

I just loved that ending! They were smart, and they overcame so much, and it came together so well! It's definitely going to change the world, what they did, what with the Cohort and the similar minded people in Idris and everybody else just out there in the world! Can't wait to see this play out more!

It just hit me in the feels, that epilogue, it was just so shocking, and incredible, and we get a follow up short story in Ghosts of the Shadow Market, and I can't wait to see it all play out in the Wicked Powers series, there's so much story to tell there!

Yeah, I'm really excited about, is the Wicked Powers series, which is going to be with Kit and Ty. Both of whom have some pretty interesting plot futures. Like Kit with the First Heir thing, which could conflict with Ash. Who might have something with Drusila. Maybe. I just want to see it all play out!

Loved this book so much, it was an incredible read, and I can't wait for Chain of Gold, The Lost Book of the White, and The Wicked Powers #1!
