From Goodreads:
Meet your new favorite kickass heroine in this daring YA series by New York Times bestselling authors Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre, a thrilling yet romantic futuristic adventure perfect for fans of Claudia Gray's A Thousand Pieces of You.
Petty criminal Zara Cole has a painful past that's made her stronger than most, which is why she chose life in New Detroit instead moving with her family to Mars. In her eyes, living inside a dome isn't much better than a prison cell.
Still, when Zara commits a crime that has her running scared, jail might be exactly where she's headed. Instead Zara is recruited into the Honors, an elite team of humans selected by the Leviathan—a race of sentient alien ships—to explore the outer reaches of the universe as their passengers.
Zara seizes the chance to flee Earth's dangers, but when she meets Nadim, the alien ship she's assigned, Zara starts to feel at home for the first time. But nothing could have prepared her for the dark, ominous truths that lurk behind the alluring glitter of starlight.
From Goodreads:
Zara Cole was a thief back on Earth, but she's been recently upgraded to intergalactic fugitive. On the run after a bloody battle in a covert war that she never expected to be fighting, Zara, her co-pilot Beatriz, and their Leviathan ship Nadim barely escaped the carnage with their lives. Now Zara and her crew of Honors need a safe haven, far from the creatures who want to annihilate them. But with two wounded Leviathan to treat, plus human and non-human refugees to help, they'll have to settle for the nearest outpost, called the Sliver: a wild, dangerous warren of alien criminals. Zara's skills from the Zone may be invaluable. However, Zara discovers that the secrets of the Sliver may have the power to turn the tide of the war they left behind—but in the wrong direction. Soon Zara will have to make a choice: stand against the ultimate evil or run from it. But she's never walked away from a fight.
Honor Bound is the second installment in Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre's thrilling and fresh space saga.
From Goodreads:
Space renegade Zara Cole may have finally met her match. Lifekiller—a creature that can devour entire planets—is spreading terror throughout the universe, and it seems nothing can stand in the monstrous godking's way.
Reeling from a series of battles, Zara and her wounded band of allies are going to need a strategy before they face Lifekiller again. Zara's street smarts may not be enough when their enemy could be anywhere, destroying civilizations and picking his teeth with the bones.
And just when it feels like she's reached a special place in her bond with Bea and Nadim, an ex from Earth with an ax to grind comes after her with nefarious intentions. With human enemies, alien creatures, and mechanical stalkers on her tail, it's down to the wire for Zara to save the galaxy—and the people she calls home—before the godking consumes them all.

My second review of Honor Among Thieves
My Review:
I loved reading these books so much! Honor Among Thieves, the first time I read it, was a top, best read of 2017. I've just read and loved this whole series, and it was so great to read them all back to back, and Honor Lost for the first time! It was such a great reading experience!
Watching Zara go on this journey again, bonding with Nadim, with Beatriz, learning about the world that she's in, and finding her place in it, it's just so great to read! I loved watching her grow, to learn and change from her instincts say to run, to protect herself from getting to know anyone.
Honor Lost, I was just so excited to read after that evil cliffhanger ending of Bound. And yeah, it wasn't quite what I was expecting, because Lifekiller is only in the beginning and the end. There was so much else going on, like facing his minions and Derry and Deluca, and a few unexpected threats and it all came together so well! It was a really satisfying ending!
One thing was that in Honor Bound, it's mentioned that Zara might be healing faster. Or it's implicated, and never followed up upon. And I wish it was, because I have a theory that when she cut herself on the debris in Nadim in Among Thieves, that she took in his blood in that scene, and now heals faster. But I don't know for sure, since either it wasn't fully explored, or there was a line or two that I passed over too quickly to understand that was going on. And I really want to know if I'm right or not!
Loved reading these books, they were just so freaking fantastic!
