Week 5 Review: The Late Great Wizard

My Review:
This was a pretty interesting read! I really enjoyed the world though the rules of magic were murky, I hope we'll get to explore them further in the future books! I really enjoyed this world of phoenix wizards and iron dwarfs! There's also this maybe bigger than the big bad hinted at, and I can't wait to explore that!

The writing was a bit hard to read, to be honest, and sometimes I didn't quite understand what was going on, why something had just happened. Some of it was word choice, and some of it was the way the words were put together, but it just meant that I took longer to read this book that I would've liked. I still enjoyed it, but it was a harder read than it could've been.

Getting to know these characters was pretty great. I've read a bit of the next book, and Tessa gives out different character's alignments morally and ethically, the lawful, neutral, chaotic, good neutral evil chart thing, and it was easy to see why she put each character where. These were pretty interesting characters!

This book is a quest, to find the various things needed to complete Brandard's botched ritual. We went to a few different places, and it was really nice to go along with them. Part of the not knowing, I had no idea how all of this would help, we basically were told that he had to light himself on fire again. Specifics weren't really given. And it's not resolved, and I can't wait to see where this journey goes!

This was a pretty great book, and I can't wait to see where the series goes from here!
