The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013. Check out the hop here!
Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
The Question of the week is: Do you visit indie and/or used bookstores? Also, have you ever worked in any? (submitted by Kristin @ Lukten av Trykksverte)
When there was a used bookstore in town, I visited it. But it closed, so I don't have an opportunity to. And no, it closed before I was old enough to work. Bah. I wish! But just last week, I visited a used book store in Calgary, Fair's Fair, and yeah, I got books, so that was great! Can't wait to visit again! What about you guys? Happy reading!

I'm lucky that I have a couple of indie bookshops in my town and lots of charity shops where I can browse their bookshelves and pick up an old secondhand book dirt cheap. Many indie sellers have ventured into online retail since Covid19, and although you don't get the lovely book-smells, you're still helping indies out. I've certainly done more online retail therapy since lockdown! Lol!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend, Louisa. x
Oh, yeah, that is lucky! I have done a few indie book stores online, but yeah, there's none really close by to me. Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
