Week 27 Review: Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating

From Goodreads'
Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren't up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don't send them running, her lack of filter means she'll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She's a good soul in search of honest fun. Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air. Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there's nothing between them...right?

My Review:
Man, this book was so much fun to read! I did get the synopsis confused with Roomies, I think, so that was a touch confusing at first, but I had such a great time with Josh and Hazel, she was a wild child, and he was a calm center, and they worked together so well!

There were a series of mishaps as their first interactions at college, that meant to Hazel that he know who she was, and that put her firmly in the no-dating zone. But that he'd be perfect as her best friend. Which is a bit of flawed thinking, because the problem was finding a guy who knew who she was and accepted it. But I just loved their relationship!

The fact that they kept setting themselves up for these double blind dates was just hilarious! So much went wrong-and there were a surprising number of exes that they all had to deal with. There were some really strange and crazy moments!

But when they fall into bed together, well, they click. I loved how the story went from there, with their changing relationship dynamics, continuing to double date, and oh, that surprise near the end. And I loved that epilogue! Everything worked out so well!

Loved reading this book, and I can't wait to read more by Christina Lauren! I've almost caught up with their backlist!
