Week 2 Review: Sandry's Book

From Goodreads:
With her gift of weaving silk thread and creating light, Sandry is brought to the Winding Circle community. There she meets Briar, a former thief who has a way with plants; Daja, an outcast gifted at metalcraft; and Tris, whose connection with the weather unsettles everyone, including herself. At Winding Circle, the four misfits are taught how to use their magic - and to trust one another. But then disaster strikes their new home. Can Sandry weave together four kinds of magical power and save herself, her friends, and the one place where they've ever been accepted?

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book, when I first read it, because I was in middle school, and helping at the library, and it was nice! This time, it was nice, and it was also cute!  I didn't remember the great characters, and how they had depth, and they were funny, and they had wit, it was so great! Loved it!

This book was really cute, with a great plot, and there was the one scene with the dog, and the Great-Uncle, and I really enjoyed that scene, it was fair, and countered the gang of boys beating the animal. Really liked it!

I loved how these 4 kids have magical powers, but they're a bit different, sometimes more powerful, or in an obscure, or random way, like Sandry's power over thread. Which just sounds a bit weird!

This was a great, adorable book! Check it out if you haven't! And the rest of the series, and the other series, too!

  1. This is similar to the reason read it. I was a library helper in school and noticed that it got checked out ALOT! so I decided to try it. Read a lot of good books this way. I loved the series. Glad you enjoyed it (again hehe).

  2. Nice :) It wasn't checked out so much when I was in middle school (that was when I helped) but it looked good, and I was slowly reading all the fiction novels that Manacaban had :) And now to find the rest of the series!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
