Week 40 Review: Shadow Bound

From Goodreads:
If you live in the dark long enough, you begin to forget the light...

Kori Daniels is a shadow-walker, able to travel instantly from one shadow to another. After weeks of confinement for betraying her boss, she's ready to break free of the Tower syndicate for good. But Jake Tower has one final job for Kori, one chance to secure freedom for herself and her sister, Kenley, even if it means taking it from someone else....

The job? Recruit Ian Holt-or kill him.

Ian's ability to manipulate the dark has drawn interest from every syndicate in the world, most notably an invitation from Jake Tower. Though he has no interest in organized crime, Ian accepts the invite, because he's on a mission of his own. Ian has come to kill Tower's top Binder: Kori's little sister.

Amid the tangle of lies, an unexpected thread of truth connecting Ian and Kori comes to light. But with opposing goals, they'll have to choose between love and liberty...

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! After how good Blood Bound was, I was expecting a really great book-and Shadow Bound delivered! There were consequences to the actions of the past book, and while they're the beginning, they aren't the end!

Though comparing this book to Blood Bound, the plot isn't as mysterious, because there isn't that big twist with the friends and the daughter and all that. This book went in a different direction, it wasn't so much a mystery plot but a more political machinations kind of book!

Really enjoyed reading about Kori and Ian! Because Kori's dealing with how the Tower's have treated her after her actions in Blood Bound, and Ian, well, Ian's got a secret agenda that working with Kori might be just the thing he needs to pull it off!

Everything just came together so well! I loved that ending, with the partial happy endings, because this is a series, and there is at least 1 more book still, and how Blood Bound ended gave a clue as to how this one ended, because yeah, not everything went smoothly, but it was just so great!

I really loved reading this book, it was another excellent Rachel Vincent book, and now I just want more!
