First Lines Friday #435, September 13th

First Lines Friday is a bookish meme hosted by Literary Marie of Precision Reviews. We encourage all of our fellow book bloggers and bookhearts to play along.

-Grab your current read(s)
-Share the first line(s)
-Include the title and author so that other FLF participants can add the book to their TBR Lists!

"My chocolate was missing. I stared at the vacant spot with a mixture of resignation and bemusement. Mostly resignation. I had no need to question who the thief might be. I knew quite well my erstwhile partner had taken the liberty. No doubt she'd make some blithe comment to cover her theft if I confronted her about it. I felt more bemused on when she'd absconded with the box. I'd
barely put it in place two hours ago and I'd been in my lab most of the morning. Really, I knew professional thieves who would envy her skills. Giving up, I assuaged my taste buds with the promise of stopping by Kingston's Chocolatory during lunch. For now, I had work to do." -Magic Outside the Box by Honor Raconteur

Yeah, poor Henri, not having his chocolate! That's a rough start to this case! Must read more! What about you guys? Happy reading!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
