My Review:
Man, this was a long awaited book! Emme and Val's story was introduced in the very first Shadow Riders book, and they've slowly had developments throughout the series, but now is their time to shine, and wow, it was a really great read! And boy did we have some interesting developments!
Emme and Val shouldn't be together. They're from rival families, but they work together so well. And then his family is attacked from within, and she's the one that he turns to. Which of course brings up old feelings, and I just adored watching them have to work together!
I loved how this world was developed further, what with Val's abilities, and what it means for hers. I don't know if it's something that will play a part in the future, but it was really interesting to learn, and how it affects their relationship!
There were a few battle scenes, which were really great, to take down those that would try to take over the Saldis family from within. I loved watching his loyal men and the Ferraro's work together to take out the corruption, it was so entertaining to read!
I loved reading this book, and I can't wait to see where the series goes from here!
