Week 14 Review: Falling for the Gravekeeper

From Goodreads:
Jane Ladling told her side of the story. Now Special Agent Conrad Ryan tells his.

Welcome to Aurelian Hills, a small town rich in history and community, and six feet deep in murder.

When a local playboy doctor is found dead in an unearthed grave, Conrad is on the case. But this loner by choice is ill prepared for the cemetery's quirky owner. A beautiful brunette with a curious nature, a fascination with cats, hats and a talent for distracting him. Doesn't help when she, well, tries to help, and constantly inserts herself into the investigation.

With suspects stacking up, wild theories flying and a would-be amateur sleuth giving him a run for his money, Conrad must do what he does best. Buckle down, piece together the evidence and save the day. What he won't do? Fall for the enchanting gravekeeper. Not him. No way.

My Review:
This book was so much fun to read! This series has always been a blast, and it was fantastic to go back to the beginning and see things from Conrad's perspective! We got got see the scene with the voicemails that she left when she was sick, and it was so much fun to read!

We already know who the killer was, we've already see that go down. But what we didn't see was the official, legal, investigation. So it was interesting to see what avenues that they explored, how they got the information that helped solve the case.

We knew that they're going to fall in love, and her main reasons why she didn't want to, because of the curse. But I've been reading these books as they come out, and if we were told any of his reasons (besides that he was a foster kid) I'd forgotten, so it was great to see their romance from his perspective!

I wonder if we'll get more of the series from his perspective. I'd love to be in his head again, but maybe not a case we've already gotten, maybe a case where it alternates betweent he two of them, especially now, when he's going to be the new sheriff of the town now...

This was a really fantastic read, and I can't wait for more!
