Week 24 Reviews: When Sorrows Come, And With Reveling

Toby's getting married! Now in hardcover, the fifteenth novel of the Hugo-nominated, New York Times-bestselling October Daye urban fantasy series.

It's hard to be a hero. There's always something needing October "Toby" Daye's attention, and her own desires tend to fall by the wayside in favor of solving the Kingdom's problems. That includes the desire to marry her long-time suitor and current fiancé, Tybalt, San Francisco's King of Cats. She doesn't mean to keep delaying the wedding, it just sort of...happens. And that's why her closest friends have taken the choice out of her hands, ambushing her with a court wedding at the High Court in Toronto. Once the High King gets involved, there's not much even Toby can do to delay things...

...except for getting involved in stopping a plot to overthrow the High Throne itself, destabilizing the Westlands entirely, and keeping her from getting married through nothing more than the sheer volume of chaos it would cause. Can Toby save the Westlands and make it to her own wedding on time? Or is she going to have to choose one over the other?

Includes an all-new bonus novella!

Toby and Tybalt's wedding reception, and the blessing that they need to receive from their wedding guests.

My first review of When Sorrows Come, And With Reveling
My Review:
I of course loved rereading these stories! I just love Toby and this world, and while this book doesn't have such a big thing like Oberon being found, well, it does have the rulership of the North American fae, and Toby and Tybalt's wedding.

I wasn't really planning on rereading this book, but the hype for Be the Serpent has me dying for more of this world, so I just had to reread this book! Plus, there's speculation that Stacy is the enemy, and this is the book that we've seen the most of her in a while, and there were a few questionable lines, so I'm excited so see if that's true!

Honestly, reading this book goes by in a blur. Things just happen so quickly, and I just couldn't put it down! I loved learning about the politics of establishing North America with its own High Court, and how all of that is interfering with their wedding!

Though I am a bit confused with the novella-there's 7 blessings, and Raj says he has one. And then at the end, they have 6, Raj hasn't given one (though someone has asked about it, and gave one) and the High King gave one. Does that count? Bah!

Loved rereading these, and I just need Be the Serpent now!
