Week 25 Review: This Woven Kingdom

From Goodreads:
To all the world, Alizeh is a disposable servant, not the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom forced to hide in plain sight.

The crown prince, Kamran, has heard the prophecies foretelling the death of his king. But he could never have imagined that the servant girl with the strange eyes, the girl he can't put out of his mind, would one day soon uproot his kingdom—and the world.

Clashing empires, forbidden romance, and a long-forgotten queen destined to save her people—bestselling author Tahereh Mafi's first in an epic, romantic trilogy inspired by Persian mythology.

My Review:
Wow, this was such a great read! I've really only read the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi, and this was fantasy, and it sounded really good, and I was looking forward to it! And it was such a great story, and I can't wait to read more! I'm so excited that it's going to be a trilogy!

The fact that this is inspired by Persian mythology was so fantastic, I don't think I've read anything where that was the focus before, and if it's been mentioned in other books, it was small, or I've forgotten. I loved getting this world and its history, it was so interesting!

These characters were really great! That she's supposed to be a ruler, but isn't, and he's heir to a kingdom, but there's a prophecy that the king, his grandfather, will be killed. It was kinda like a Cinderella story, but deeper, and with both of their perspectives, and I really enjoyed that!

Oh, that ending was evil! With that reveal, things are going to change, but it's going to take a minute, given where they both are. I'm so excited to see how things play out from here, it's going to be such a great time, I know it!

This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait for the sequel!
