Becca's Spookoplathon September 2023 Round Sign Up

Time for another round for the month of September, and I'm so excited to participate again! Here's the video with all the details. This is my unofficial round, the official round is in October, but I want to roll as I go in October like I've previously done, and I still wanted to do a set number of rolls, so I'm doing an unofficial round now!

I'm going to do 15 rolls, unless I get any doubles, at least for now. If, halfway through the month, I feel like I want more, I'll do however many more rolls I feel I can read books for, and go from there, and add those books here, because I want to have all the books I pick in one place. And I can double up with Wheel of TBR picks except if Game TBR comes up, and I'll do a spin for it! And I've decided that like last year, I'm going to do 15 rolls this month, and then next month, I'm going to roll as I go again! .

For my first roll, here's what I got:
Starting on Go, a 9, which got me to Purple. I chose The Diviners by Libba Bray, this cover is mainly purple, so that works!

For my second roll, here's what I got:

A 3, which got me to Mood Read. I'll choose a book when I feel like it, and then add it here. I chose The Boy Who Cried Bear by Kelley Armstrong, because the need to read this book right away was there!

For my third roll, here's what I got:

A 4 (and a double, which means I have 16 rolls now) which got me to Stephen King. I chose Empress of All Seasons by Emiko Jean, empress is royal word that works for the title!

For my fourth roll, here's what I got:

A 11, which got me to Candy Corn. I chose The Witch is Back by Brittany Geragotelis, this book has low stakes, it seems like it's romance drama, so I'm going with that!

For my fifth roll, here's what I got:

A 8, which got me to There Is Nothing I Do Better Than Revenge. I chose One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus, this have a revenge plotline, but it'd be a spoiler to say what, even though this book has been out for a while.

For my sixth roll, here's what I got:

A 7, which got me to Community Shelf. Using a random list generator, I got Read a book that fulfills a reading goal. I chose Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan, this is a Book to Read in 2023, and reading those books is one of my goals, so that works!

For my seventh roll, here's what I got:

A 11, which got me to Spooky. I chose Blood and Moonlight by Erin Beaty, it's got a spooky cover and it's a mystery, so I'm counting it!

For my eighth roll, here's what I got:
A 5, which got me to Mary Shelley. I chose Junkyard War by Faith Hunter, it's dystopian, and that's under sci fi!

For my ninth roll, here's what I got:
A 11, which got me to Pumpkin Spice. I chose A Fall of Ruin and Wrath by Jennifer L. Armentrout, I'm so excited to read this book!

For my tenth roll, here's what I got:

A 9, which got me to Most Recent Purchase. I chose Red Tigress by Amelie Wen Zhao, I bought this August 26th, this is one of the books that I bought them.

For my eleventh roll, here's what I got:

A 4, which got me to Community Shelf. Using a random list generator, I got Read a book with a one-word title. I chose Sunbolt by Intisar Khanani, that's only one word title!

For my twelfth roll, here's what I got:
A 3, which got me to They're Burning The Witches Even If You Aren't One. I chose What the Spell by Brittany Geragotelis, this has witches so I'm going with it.

For my thirteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 3, which got me to Green. I chose Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen, this cover is various shades of green, mainly, so I'm counting that!

For my fourteenth roll, here's what I got:

A 4 (and a double, which means I have 17 rolls now) which got me to Mood Read. Again, I'll chose this book when I want to, and update this when I've chosen it. I've chosen Tides of Fire by James Rollins for this mood read, I just really wanted to read it!

For my fifteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 8, which got me to Dice Roll Roulette. Here's what I rolled:

A 9. I'm going with Demons of Good and Evil by Kim Harrison, it's 464 pages, so that's in the range!

For my sixteenth roll, here's what I got:

A 5, which got me to What A Ghostly Scene. I chose The September House by Carissa Orlando, it's a haunted house, so that works!

For my seventeenth roll, here's what I got:
A 6, which got me to Jigsaw. I chose Cruel Illusions by Margie Fuston, it mentions a competition!
