Week 8 Review: Visions of Flesh and Blood

From Goodreads:
VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD: a Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, art, and reference materials. Combined with original short stories and scenes from some of the world's most beloved characters, as well as never-before-seen visual enticements, it's a treat for the senses.

Told from the point of view of Miss Willa herself, the compendium acts like research material but reads like a journal and cache of personal notes, allowing the reader to revisit the characters and history they so love yet view things in a different way.

VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout with Rayvn Salvador is a must-add addition to the series that any Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire fan will enjoy.

My Review:
I'm really glad that I read this book! I had to, because I love her writing and this series, and I wanted to learn all this new information, and especially the journal portions of it, to be in Willa's perspective! But alas, Ian is still dead.

To be honest, this was at times hard to read, because it was pretty dense with a ton of information to learn, more like a textbook, but it's a compendium, not a novel. But only parts, because there were some stories in this book

This world is very rich. At this point in the series, there's 2 series, but then there's the 3rd series that is much further in the timeline, is going to start to have the events happening in the time of the Blood and Ash series, that are history in the Awakening series. So all these details and little snippets of information were so interesting to read!

That we got this book, I'm really glad. I always want to know more, about the characters and the world, and this gave us a pretty low stakes of giving us this information, even if it was quite a lot of information in not a lot of time.

Loved reading this book, and I can't wait to continue on with this world!
