My Review:
I finally read this book! I've been meaning to for over a year! I love this world, and I really enjoyed seeing parts that we hadn't seen before, some of the history, as well as getting a bit more of our beloved characters after the ending of War Storm!

Some of these were the kind of documents that might be assembled in world, like the history of Cal's lineage, of the kings that came before him, of the different countries in this world, and some basic facts, like the ruler/governmental style. So it was really interesting to learn that!

I really enjoyed Evangeline's story, we only got her perspective in the later half of the series, I'm not sure if she was in King's Cage, but she definitely was in War Storm. Loved watching her work through everything that happened in War Storm, as well deciding what she wants to do for her future.

Of course, the main reason I wanted to read this collection was for more Mare and Cal. And oh, we do get more of them, which is great. They left things off on such a note, that things had to continue, and they've gotten some time to heal, so they're able to move on in a direction that might end up with them together. And of course they will, we don't see it, but there was mentions of the future, with their kids, so I'm happy with that!

Loved reading this collection, and I can't wait to read more by Victoria Aveyard!
