Week 41 Review: Game of Gravestones

From Goodreads:
She suspects everyone of everything. Except her oldest friend. Who's found next to a body. Holding the murder weapon.

For the first time, things are just right for cemetery owner Jane Ladling. Her cat only kind of hates her sort of boyfriend, Special Agent Conrad Ryan, and she isn't flat broke. When she's asked to host a murder mystery fundraiser for the people of Aurelian Hills, Georgia, she'd totally on board. Champagne, intrigue, and community. Yes, please. Then game night happens and a fake murder turns into a red one, leaving her mentor and knitting buddy Fiona at the top of the suspect list, with heir best pal Beau a close second. Oops?

Jane's not about to leave the fate of her loves one to, well, fate. On the hunt for clues, she turns the small town upside down. As scandalous secrets surface, a single truth becomes clear: if she doesn't solve the murder fast, Jane will be the next victim.

My Review:
This was another fun mystery! I love this series, and I really glad that Gena Showalter and Jill Monroe started to write together, they have a lot of fun writing this series, and it's easy to tell, and I love that! It's just a ball of laughs!

Jane is slowly becoming used to the idea with an actual relationship with Conrad, which we love to see. There's this underlying current of, the curse isn't real, or at least, you believing in it is what is making it come true. And they actually have a date, even if it's interrupted by the case!

This case is personal once again, because her best friends are two of the main suspects. Not Jane's suspects, of course, but it's funny, Jane's two main suspects both ask her to investigate the case for them. Loved how that turned out!

This is the first book where things weren't fully resolved. Like, the murderer was caught, but the events in this book, not all of them were figured out, like who did that to her car (though Jane had a stray thought that I'm pretty sure is right.) and the whole money thing. So I need to know what's going to happen next!

This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait for more! The holiday novella sounds like it'll be so much fun!
