Week 9 Review: The Chaos of Stars

From Goodreads:
Isadora's family is seriously screwed up—which comes with the territory when you're the human daughter of the ancient Egyptian gods Isis and Osiris. Isadora is tired of living with crazy relatives who think she's only worthy of a passing glance—so when she gets the chance to move to California with her brother, she jumps on it. But her new life comes with plenty of its own dramatic—and dangerous—complications . . . and Isadora quickly learns there's no such thing as a clean break from family.

My first review of The Chaos of Stars
My Review:
I loved reading this book again! I wasn't planning on it, but then it worked for the TBR that I was building, and then I had a migraine and I had to switch over from reading an ebook to a physical one. And I had such a great time reading it again!

Isadora spent the first part of her life loving her family, believing that she was immortal as well. When she found out she wasn't, she felt very betrayed, and like she didn't have a place. And it's hard, because her parents are gods, and unchanging, and it's more complicated then Isadora knows. Her feelings are valid, because it does seem like her parents are just having kids to replenish their power source, but they do love their kids.

That Isadora is a decorator, of seeing an idea for a room and bringing it into fruition was very cool! Alongside her belief that love was pain, and that she was never going to love, let someone have the potential to hurt her, were really compelling parts of her character! Especially since Ry was so great, I loved watching them fall in love!

I just wish it was longer. I mean, I always done. But this ends right after everything goes down, and I would've loved to see some of the settling down issues. I would've loved to see her mom's reaction to the fact that Ry is Greek, and his parents are Greek Gods!

This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait to read more by Kiersten White!
