Teaser Tuesday #167, June 24th

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
•Grab your current read
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today's teaser comes from Subterranean by James Rollins!

"Blakely watched the commander's face drain of color, then refill a bright red. Again, Blakely could tell when someone's ass was being chewed." -page 48

I don't know if I should be glad the commander's getting a talking to, because I haven't gotten that far in, and whether or not he deserves it! What about you guys? Happy reading!

  1. Love the description of the man's face, especially "then refill a bright red." I can see that.
My Teaser is from NOT THE MARRYING KIND.

  2. Someone is definitely in trouble. It's a good Teaser.

  3. James Rollins does have some great descriptions!

And yes he is, Blakley called the commander's boss because the commander was basically jealous of the attention and money the scientific arm was getting, so the commander does deserve that ass chewing :)

Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
