Week 10 Review: Field of Graves

From Goodreads:
All of Nashville is on edge with a serial killer on the loose. A madman is trying to create his own end-of-days apocalypse and the cops trying to catch him are almost as damaged as the killer. Field of Graves reveals the origins of some of J.T. Ellison's most famous creations: the haunted Lieutenant Taylor Jackson; her blunt, exceptional best friend, medical examiner Dr. Samantha Owens; and troubled FBI profiler Dr. John Baldwin. Together, they race the clock and their own demons to find the killer before he claims yet another victim. This dark, thrilling and utterly compelling novel will have readers on the edge of their seats, and Ellison's fans will be delighted with the revelations about their favorite characters.

My Review:
So it's been so long since I read these books-I have a review of a few of this series in 2011, that I went into this book knowing I'm going to continue the rest of the series, and that I really don't remember what happened besides some of the big moments. Plus the fact that this is a brand new novel, well, yeah!

The synopsis says that we'll revelations about our favourite characters. And we did. Like the case that Taylor caught that ended with dirty cops and death. And Baldwin's case that went wrong. And how Baldwin's case was 6 months ago, and Taylor's 3 months before this book started. And Sam's engagement story!

The bad guy, he had two sides. One side was good, but the other wasn't, and that was the side that was in control in the end. But what caused his bad side, just makes things all the more sad and pointless and meaningless and just sad!

Then there was that ending! So great to read, it was so awesome, saved the , and some hard stuff, with having to end the bad guy's life. and Taylor getting the scar on her neck! Just a bit of life before the series that we've had previously! And I kept thinking it would be awesome for the baby to be a girl, just as a "ha" to the bad guy who kept talking about a son! Loved how that played out!

Another fantastic J.T. Ellison book, and excellent instalment to this series!
