Week 38 Review: Faery Tales & Nightmares

From Goodreads:
Dangerous promises and beguiling threats swirl together in a dozen stories of enchantments dark and light by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr. Uncanny and unexpected creatures appear from behind bushes, rise from beneath the seas, or manifest from seasonal storms to pursue the objects of their attention—with amorous or sinister intent—relentlessly.

From the gentle tones of a storyteller's cadences to the terror of a blood sacrifice, tales of favorite characters from Marr's Wicked Lovely novels mix with accounts of new characters for readers to fall in love with...or to fear.

Lush, seductive, and chilling, Melissa Marr's stories revel in the unseen magic that infuses the world as we know it.

My Review:
I loved all of the stories in this book! They were just so awesome to read, a collection of Melissa Marr short stories, and while some of them are some side notes from the Wicked Lovely series, there were others that were completely different! It was so excellent!

The Wicked Lovely stories, they were set for after Darkest Mercy, so it was about the characters whose endings weren't totally complete! So it was really fantastic to read those, for these characters to work towards those complete happy endings!

Then there were the various other stories! They covered a variety of paranormal creatures, and the takes that these stories took on, well, they were really interesting! Of them all, I think the selchies one, it was really awesome!

I enjoyed all of the stories in this anthology of them! They were different and great, and written by Melissa Marr, which is always a great thing, I just absolutely love her writing! And I know I'll read more books by her, because they're just fantastic!

Reading this was just utterly a pleasure, and I'm so glad that I found it at my Grannie's library!
