Book Blogger Hop #87, June 7th

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013. Check out the hop here

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

The Question of the week is: What's the oldest work (by publication date) you've read? (submitted by Nicki @ Nicki J. Markus/Asta Idonea)

Same as my favourite classic, Pride and Prejudice. It's a really great book, even if I've only read it once. I don't think Shakespeare counts, because that was for school, not by choice. What about you guys? Happy reading!

  1. I go back to Ancient Greece with Theogony by Hesiod. We had to study Latin in high school (I know, he's a Greek author but we read it for Latin) so my oldest reading comes from that time. But if we don't count school readings I need to un-check that and the Divine Comedy, too, so I'm left with Utopia and Tom Jones :D Have a nice week!!

    1. Yeah, school reading is assigned, so even if you chose to take the class, you probably didn't have much of a choice in what you read. But Tom Jones, that's something of a classic, right? Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!

  2. Yeah, assigned reading doesn't really count! I haven't heard of that book, but that title, that's interesting! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
