Week 26 Review: She Drives Me Crazy

From Goodreads:
High school nemeses fall in love in this queer YA rom com perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli and Casey McQuiston.

After losing spectacularly to her ex-girlfriend in their first game since their break up, Scottie Zajac gets into a fender bender with the worst possible person: her nemesis, the incredibly beautiful and incredibly mean Irene Abraham. Things only get worse when their nosey, do-gooder moms get involved and the girls are forced to carpool together until Irene's car gets out of the shop.

Their bumpy start the only gets bumpier the more time they spend together. But when an opportunity presents itself for Scottie to get back at her toxic ex (and climb her school's social ladder at the same time), she bribes Irene into playing along. Hijinks, heartbreak, and gay fake-dating scheme for the ages. From author Kelly Quindlen comes a new laugh-out-loud romp through the ups and downs of teen romance.

My Review:
I had such a fantastic time reading this book! I loved this story about these two girls who end up falling in love, it was such a cute and wonderful story about these two female athletes who don't get along at first, but eventually do!

Sports romances aren't really my thing, I don't like sports. But add in LGBT+ to the story? Yeah, that got my attention, and it was such an enjoying story! Watching these two start off so antagonistic-including a fender bender, which leads to them carpooling together, yeah I loved it!

Scottie has an ex who is pretty horrible, who she now has to face off in an opposing team. That Irene perceived to be this queen bee who is top of everything, well, they managed to make the situation work for them. I loved watching how they helped each other, because they both needed the other's support.

Irene isn't really respected for her athleticism and team leadership, because she's a cheerleader. Which is unfair because it is a lot of effort. They both had something to add, and to gain from the relationship, and I'm so glad that things worked out!

This was such a great read and I'd love to read more by Kelly Quindlen!
